Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
This ratchet features Back Off Technology that lets you safely back the tension off step-by-step. This helps prevent sudden movement when removing the strap. Simply put the lever into the additional Back Off position and ratchet in reverse to release the tension.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the ProGrip Ratchet Tie Down Strap. Now, this tie down strap lets you easily secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer. The ratchet mechanism makes it easy to tighten down the strap and maintain tension on the strap. All you have to do is simply hook both sides of the unit onto your truck bed or trailer, over your load, pull the slack out of the strap and then use the ratchet to apply tension and tighten the strap over your gear. Now, the main thing that sets this unit apart from others is it uses something that's called back off technology. Now, typically on a standard ratchet mechanism or a standard ratchet strap, when you release the tension, they have a tendency to pop and release all the tension at once. This mechanism actually has that back off technology built into it, so it gives you the ability to release tension just like standard straps as well as to release tension gradually, click by click or step by step. It's very simple to use and to operate.
Now, I can't show you that because you can only do that when tension is applied. This mechanism is a really nice design, so it has multiple positions. This position would be your locked position. This is the position you'd want it in as you're traveling down the road or during transport. Then, you have your center position, which is the ratcheting position. Then, you lift up on the release lever, slide it back just a little bit and it has this position here.
The little groove that it slides into, this is the back off technology position. Then, you open it up again to the fully open position, and that's going to allow you to release all the tension at once and give you the ability to remove the strap from the actual mechanism. Now, another thing I like about this unit is you'll notice that the ratchet handle and release lever is a really nice large design. The handle has finger indentions here, so you can get a easy grip on it when you're operating it. The release lever is also coded and large, so you can easily get that. Nice leverage with a large handle and it gives you the ability, once again, for an easy grip design.
Because of the large design, it's also easy to operate and control even if you have gloves on.The strap that comes with the unit is made from a durable polyester webbing. It's yellow in color, so it's highly visible. The hooks are double J-hook design. For added strength and durability, the double design, it's welded together. Gives it a really nice, strong feature and it creates a very durable connection point as well.
Now, these are made from steel. Again, they are very strong and durable. The ratcheting mechanism is made from steel. The hooks are coated with zinc plated finishing to resist rust and corrosion. The handle is coated with a protective finishing to resist rust and corrosion. The handgrip as well as the release grip, that's a durable plastic construction. The strap measures two inches wide, and measures 27 feet long. It features a safe working load limit of 3,333 pounds, and a maximum load or break strength of 10,000 pounds. Just always keep in mind that tie down straps and anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the ProGrip Ratchet Tie Down Strap.

Great
Works as designed.
On time, good value
Great customer service for returns and product replacement. Hassle free and prompt.
My initial shipment had some issues and they were quickly resolved.
Great quality and service.
Doesn’t seem to work correctly
The reversible latch is not smooth during operations and gets stuck more than it works.
I received one of two items that seemed like it had previously been opened
Just got them today, looks exactly as I figured. Should last many years, key for me was reversible racheting since I will be using them to hoist my Jeep hard top. Will visit again once system is in place. Thanks etrailer
Woefully inadequate and slips under load. Only one side of the cam catches the ratchet placing all the strain on one latch pin. Caused my load to shift. I threw them out after first use because I didn’t want my employees to accidentally use them.
Tie down works
Custom service was great George J and Chelsea D didn't forget my order and let my know what was going on with it and let me know when the tie-down I order a few months ago came in Thank You
Excellent. What I like most is the safety release. I use this for lifting stacked washer and dryer into and out of closet installation..with a skyhook from the ceiling.
Ok let me say that I usually do not leave reviews however I was prompted to by etrailer thru an email to do so. Below is the email I wrote back to them stating why I did not write a review. Again I was prompted by etrailer. With the response I received back from them I thought is was appropriate to do so. Here is their response "I do apologize this product did not work for you. This being a year old I cant do much. Next time if you get a product and it breaks please give us a call to see if we can get the problem resolved for you right away."

Hello George. I would be happy to give a review but to be honest the ratcheting mechanism stopped working within two months. I have had many different straps in the past that stopped working and it usually could be fixed with some oil. This ratchet actually became misaligned and almost fell apart. I have never had one do that before. I simply threw that part into the metal scrap pile and found another ratchet to add to the strap side.
I may have had a faulty one or misused it in some way but I usually do not give bad feedback when I am not sure of the exact problem.
Easy web site, great communication of order status, fast shipping/delivery.
Great offering, fair price, free shipping incentive is good, initial order and follow-up is appreciated and perfect....arrived on
time...just beautiful!!! Thanks!
