Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Rhino-Rack Awning Bag for the Batwing 270 awnings in black. So folks, this will work, again, with both the left and right Batwing 270 Freestanding Awnings, so make sure you're double checking to be sure that's what you have for this Rhino-Rack Awning Bag. And it'll look something like this when it's installed on the vehicle. Now, because of the space constraints in the studio, and, obviously, I don't have the awning here on the vehicle, I'm not able to show you this more than what you see in the photo, so I do apologize for that. But you are gonna get this nice, thick, long polyester weather-resistant bag.
And that's gonna be going around that awning, it's gonna protect it, keep extra weather and stuff off of it. It does have hook-and-loop in different spots here to make it really easy to attach. And then, of course, it has very nice heavy-duty zippers with these nice finger pulls here that have some padding on them as well, so you could easily open and close these zippers a lot quicker. And as far as stitching around everything, it's got reinforced stitching, so you have that added durability, especially at these high stress points where things are poking into the corners and whatnot. And then, of course, Rhino-Rack's logo, nice and rubberized, stitched on there as well.
So again, folks, this is going to go over your awning, it's gonna close with a zipper, and it's gonna close off the awning during transport, as far as keeping extra rain, snow, road debris, and whatnot off of it as well. There is no right hand or left hand opening to get the cover started. Etrailer's video was useless and the one we found on YouTube was for a replacement cover with a right hand opening and a left end pocket. There were no instructions with this product. We spent a couple of hours trying to make this work. I would not recommend this replacement cover. I will be returning this to etrailer.
I typed in a certain part number and apparently this is what popped up so I purchased it and it is incorrect and not the correct part I searched for.

Sorry to hear it isn't working the way you hoped, James. I couldn't find any instructions anywhere online, but I did look at the instructions for the Rhino-Rack 270 Freestanding Batwing Awning # RR73AG and I think it might have helped (they are down the page a little for the actual awning). It looks like you have to completely remove the awning from the mounting brackets and then the plate that the T-Bolts slide in. That should allow you to take off the old cover and replace it with the new one. I used page 12 as a reference for that. Did you already return it or are you willing to give it another shot?
