Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the marine speaker. This is going to be a waterproof UV resistant speaker that we can have on our boat, or anywhere that we need to have a nice weather resistant speaker so we'll be able to transfer the sound from our TV, or stereo system to our boat, maybe our RV or camper as well. It's going to have a dual cone design, which is going to give us a whizzer cone and a woofer cones so we'll have the highs and lows of whatever we're trying to listen to. It's made of a durable plastic construction, just simply bolts in place, although the hardware is not included with this, so you will pick that up on your own. We'll have these two connections to make for our wiring. As far as the overall size, we'll give you some measurements here.
So from outside edge to outside edge it's about six inches in diameter, maybe just a hair under that, it's five and seven eight. The total depth of this is going to be about two inches from the top of the speaker to the back here. The cutout dimensions that you'll need will be about four and a half inches in diameter. Going from this edge to the same spot on the other side, it's about four and a half inches, or excuse me, from this edge, this kind of recessed edge here, to the other side. And then it needs to be about one and three eight inches deep. The woofer diameter is about four and a half inches in diameter.
The spacing between our mounting holes center to center going side to side here, it's about three and seven eighths inches. If we go across it's about five and a half inches again, center to center. Those holes are about an eight inch in diameter, so you'll need some hardware to fit in there. As far as the max wattage, this is rated for 35 watts, impedance is 4-ohms, and it does come as just a single speaker in white. But that's going to do it for our look at the marine speaker with a recessed mount for our boat, trailer, or camper, or RV..
