What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this cooling fan from Valterra, which gonna go in your fridge in your camper, and it's just gonna help that air flow. You just throw switch here, it turns the fan on, it's got a light breeze, but it just helps with that air flow inside the fridge and help circulate that air. So, it doesn't all the cold air stay at the bottom, or it doesn't get super cold at the top. It's just going to keep that air moving, and that way, it's evenly cooled in your fridge. Let's check it out.
Like I said, it's pretty simple. You just flip the switch, you can see the fan moving in there. So, we're just gonna open up our fridge, set it here at the bottom, and you can just kind of leave it there, when you have things in your fridge, and it's going to help move that air around. To better explain how it redistributes the air, is the cold air is going to come down here at the bottom. It's going to suck it in here, and then, push it back up to the top.
You can see the coils here, this is where most of the cold air is going to come from, and it's going to fall down here, and this is just going to keep that loop going over, and over and over. It's also going to reduce your fridge cool-down time by 50%. So, let's say you get to the campsite, you're getting everything set up and plugged in. You want that fridge to cool down so you can throw your beverages in there. This is going to cut down on that time.
It's also going to work in your freezers, too. Same thing, it'll help that process of cooling it down way quicker. It takes two D-batteries, there you go to the bottom, and if you leave this on, it doesn't draw that much power. You can run it continuously for about a month before it's gonna run out of batteries. So then, I ran into I just wanna point out is the tablet on the side here.
It looks like you can push them in, and that's how you removed the bottom, but that's not the case you actually pry out the sides on the bottom and it slides off just like that to replace the batteries. Overall, I think it's gonna be a great thing to have. It's definitely gonna cut down on that cool-down time in your fridge. So, you can load it up with all your stuff on your trip, and just help that air keep moving in there. Make sure, it doesn't get too cold in any of the spots. It just kind of redistributed, and evenly cools everything on the inside of the fridge. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..

Fan keeps air circulating to regulate food temperature and reduce food spoilage in your RV's refrigerator. Compact and portable design. On/off switch operates fan. Requires (2) D batteries (sold separately). As long as you do not overload your rv fridge or pack things against the walls, this small fan does a good job of circulating the air. Fridge contents were kept more uniformly cool.
Works Great, I have been using a fan like this in RV refrigerators since 1976.This help the frig a lot. RV frigs circulate air by gravity, cold air goes to the bottom pushing warm air to the top. Not real efficient for air movement. this causes lettuce to freeze, among other items, slow cool down. These fans don't make your RV frig like a residential but it improves things by about 70 %. Batteries last about 1 to 2 month, continual use.
The first camping season I had this it worked great. This product lost a couple stars with me because I'm having issues with getting it to work every time. It has brand new batteries and now when I turn it on I have to shake it, reinstall the batteries, or toggle the switch. Works great and really helps the fridge cool off quicker and stay colder during hot summer days.
Arrived earlier than expected. Seems like it will move air within the RV fridge which is why I ordered it. I'll give it a few days to a week to see if it helps keep the fridge from freezing.
Great communication and response time
I ordered two because we have two trailers and I hate moving things from trailer to trailer. One worked right out of the package and the other needed a little tinkering to make it work as the battery contacts for one of the batteries was not tight enough. I hope my fix works. We had our first one for over five years and it worked like a champion until it finally died. These little things really are a MUST HAVE in a RV refrigerator.
Fridge was staying 8 to 10 deg. Warmer on the bottom of the fridge in my Casita, now it is only 1 to 2 deg. diff. From the rest. This little box fan works great. Hope the batteries last a month as stated. Being blue I can always spot it on the bottom shelf.
I put it in my RV freezer after I received and really hasn't been in long enough for me to see how it will work. I think it is going to work really good.
We ordered two of these for our side-by-side Dometic RV refrigerator. We have had issues during hot weather with keeping the refrigerator section at temperature. Although we have not used the fans on a trip yet, I can say that they work and that the battery cases hold the two D batteries just fine (apparently some competitor versions do not). Looking forward to trying them on our next trip. Plan to place them on either ends of the bottom shelf of the frig. Will update our review after we have a chance to see if they do keep the frig cooler.
Works well but a little noisy when door is open
Works perfect. Keeps my refrigerator temps balanced. It's super small but very effective. A must have if you have a refrigerator in your coach or trailer.
Battery contacts don't want to stay aligned; works fine if you set the fan "just right" but if moved, the batteries lose contact.
Company service was outstanding with super-fast shipping and excellent communication.
product circulates cold air just fine , unfortunately after being used about six times the switch has stopped functioning . You have to jockey the switch just in the right position for it to work. If bumped it stops. I would not buy this item again because the switch wore out so quickly.
This fan takes up very little space in our small rv fridge. Runs quietly and moves the air to keep food cold. Runs for a long time on 2 D batteries. On/off switch works well.
worked well
I bought this to replace an existing fan that could not be turned off easily, which was annoying as I had to remove the batteries - no such problem here as it has an on/off switch. These fans really do help with my small Norcold Fridge that tends to be very uneven otherwise.
Have it in the “Nevercold” 12/120volt frig on the boat. Helps greatly with evening out the internal temp. Runs 30-45 days on the D cells. Very satisfied with the product and etrailer’s excellent service. Getting ready to order one for the camper just purchased.
Thanks.

good product for price - fan didn't seem to have a lot of power but worked ok - kept some of my food from freezing which was the goal when I had on the highest setting. was a bit surprised that the item took "D" batteries.
Good product works great
Works very well in distributing the cold in the refrigerator. The batteries last a long time
Great product as it has a on/off switch.
I have been using the refrigerator fan circulator and it keeps my refrigerators cool on very hot days.
Stops and starts so I never know if the batteries are good or not. Seems to circulate the air ok. Rarely have frozen stuff anymore.
Was exactly what we thought it would be the fan runs quiet and keeps the Refrigerator air circulating
It ran for a week with one set of batteries, still going strong when we broke camp. Doesn't seem overly sturdy, but it won't be supporting food in the frig.
