Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Seaflo Black 18 1/8 inches wide by 20 3/8 inches tall Multi-Purpose Access Door. Now, this multi-purpose access door will allow easy, keyless access to a compartment on your boat or your RV, so this is ideal for accessing control panels, valves, and wiring. You can see it has the dual quarter-turn recessed latches here that when you turn them a quarter of a turn, it will open the door, and it allows you to completely open it. Also, if you noticed, it's an easy open hatch door, and it will swing 180 degrees to give you plenty of room to reach your gear. The durable water resistant synthetic fittings and the nice rubber seal on it help keep your compartment dry, so when you close your lid there and lock it into place, that'll help seal it.
This is a nice low-profile hatch, it's designed to mount flushed to the surface, and on the top of the hatch, let me just zoom in, you can see it has a nice non-skid surface to it, this will prevent slipping when it's installed in the floor. It is a nice, strong ABS plastic construction, it'll resist UV rays, road salts, and acid. Now, the hardware to install this is not included, you can see, you would install this flushed to the surface, and you can see the mounting holes already drilled in to the frame here, so you would just have to supply the mounting hardware. This is a nice black color. Now, this comes also available in a white color, we do sell that separately on our website.
Now, I do wanna give you a few specs on this, we're first gonna do the external dimensions, in other words, with the door closed, so we'll measure the width and the height. So if we get the width on this, the width is gonna be right at 18 1/8 inches wide, the overall height on this is gonna be right at 20 3/8 inches tall. And then we're gonna open this up, and we're gonna measure the opening width and height. So again, if we do the width of it, it's right at 15 inches wide, and the opening height, 17 1/8 inches tall. And again, you can just fold this back in, turn your handles a quarter of a turn, and then it'll lock the door into place.

Just what I needed for an Airstream ren ovation.
Works well. Only medium door I could find on the internet!!!
The shipping and processing was great and the quality of the access door is really nice. However the door will not work for my application. The 9-5/8 wide door has an opening that is only 6-1/2 wide and I need 7 inches. I’ll keep this door and use it for a different application, it will cost to much to return it.
This is exactly what I was looking for as part of my camper remodel. These doors are sturdy and they seal very well. I didn't want another key to get into a storage area of my camper. These latches are great and you can change the direction they close in so all the latches on both doors go in the same direction.
Don't for get to buy some sealant for when you install them.
Arrived timely and looks like good quality. We will install it next week. This will give a bit better access to the area where the water valves are located

I was excited to receive my hatch door.
I after opening it it seemed to be well built and nicely packaged when pulling back the plastic wrap I did notice it had a few scratches on the front.
I’m not too worried about the scratches because it’s really not that visible from our house.
This is going on the outside of a new Spa that we are putting man made veneer stone on.
The door or hatch is exactly what we needed.

Nice solid door, smooth latched and simple installation. Used it on my houseboat, we removed the old propane water heater and needed a cover for the hole left behind, but wanted it to be a door so we can access the new electric water heater for service in the future. I’ve had it for a year and it looks great and hasn’t faded in color.

Looks great, Easy Install. However....The latch broke within a year. Bummer. But I should add that E-Trailer responded quicky on a warranty claim. Overall it is good product but could use some R&D improvement. I'd much rather just bought the one piece that broke.
Appears to be great quality. Arrived quickly and was adequately packed. Installed on RV easily.
Unlike other products purchased from E-Trailer that have performed well this product not so great. With minimal usage in one year of ownership the latch mechanism failed. I will be seeking a warranty replacement.
