Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer Safety Lock Pin. Now, this coupler latch pin is going to be a simple but important safety piece for your trailer setup. Its main job is to keep your trailer coupler securely latched while you're towing, helping prevent the latch from accidentally opening or becoming disconnected on the road. So, the pin's going to slide through the coupler latch hole and lock into place with this spring-tensioned wire clip, so there's not gonna be any need for tools or extra hardware, but once installed, this is going to help keep the hitch connection secure and reduce the risk of accidental uncoupling during travel. So, this pin, let me take my ruler here and give you some measurements.
The diameter is gonna be a 1/4 of an inch and what I'm calling like the span or the usable pin length from inside to inside there is right at about two inches. So, this is gonna be a common fit for many standard trailer couplers and latch openings. It's made from zinc-coated steel, so it's gonna do a pretty good job of resisting rust and corrosion over time and help keep the latch area from sticking or binding due to weather exposure. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
