Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this MEC propane hose. Now, this is a 12-foot-long high-pressure supply hose that's made to connect a propane regulator to a compatible appliance, such as like a cooker, a smoker, or torch. And the main reason you would want something like this is because of the extra reach this is going to give you. This is going to give you about 12 feet of hose so the appliance doesn't have to sit right next to the regulator and propane cylinder.
Connection wise, the regulator end has a 3/8 of an inch male NPT fitting while the appliance end has a 3/8 of an inch female flare swivel. And, of course, that swivel can make hooking up the appliance easier. But checking the fittings on your existing equipment is going to be important before picking this up. And this hose is specifically described as a regulator-to-appliance connection rather than a direct tank connection. So just be aware of that.
The hose itself is made from thermoplastic with fully crimped brass ferrules and it has a quarter of an inch inside diameter. It is rated for a working pressure up to 350 PSIG. It has a 400-pound pull test rating, and it's also listed as UL and CGA approved for propane service. I think that's going to wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy.
