Today we'll be reviewing the Camco insulator with Sunshield Reflective Surface for RV roof vents inside a removable fleece cover, part number CAM45192. The Camco insulator has this nice fleece lining with a sunshield reflective surface. It also has this nice zipper that allows us to gain access to the 3 inch thick piece of foam. It also allows us to remove the fleece liner so that we can vacuum it off. It's not machine washable because it has the reflective sunshield. The insulator fits snugly into a standard 14 x 14 vent. All you have to do is push it into place.
It will help keep your RV cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter because the sewn-in sunshield blocks 100% of the sun's harsh, damaging rays. The insulator also comes with a one-year limited warranty. No we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. First we'll go ahead and locate our vent. When installing it, we want to make sure that the reflective surface goes in first. All we have to do is fit it inside the vent and push it into place.
Just like that our insulator is installed and we're ready to go. To remove the insulator, all we have to do is grab it and it slides right out. That completes today's review of the Camco insulator with Sunshield Reflective Surface for RV roof vents, part number CAM45192. .

Just received them and put them in place. The temp is supposed to drop to 19° today and already it is quieter and warmer in my rv.

These will do the job but they are nothing like the older insulators. I will probably add a sheet of reflextics to block out the light. I'm in the desert and while these block the heat I also like to block the light during storage.

This was exactly what I wanted. The vents in the ceiling are quite drafty, so this fit the bill for me. Not to mention blocking some of the light, I like to sleep in the dark so this helps. What might be helpful in the future is to offer blackening covers.

All products received as ordered. Only delay was a backordered item. Entire order shipped promptly on UPS 3-day as soon as the backorder arrived in the warehouse. etrailer notified me as soon as my order was placed that shipping would be delayed and allowed me the opportunity to split the shipment.
Haven’t used it yet, but looks like it will do the job. The reason we got it was because last year we had a situation where we had about 3-4 inches of snow on the roof of our RV. With the heater going to stay warm, this caused some condensation in the roof vent and droplets of water fell onto our bed below.
This made about a 2 1/2’ to 3’ area wet spot on the bed. My wife had to sleep on the dinette/bed part of the RV. This should be able to keep the hot air out, and eliminate condensation if the same situation happens again.
These don't really stay in the vent. They work better as pillows. LOL. I had to make a cover out of vinyl (like a window shade) with snaps and change the vent mounting screws to snaps, so that the cover will hold these things in place.
If you are not moving, they might stay in place.
A little velcro along the sides of your vent would help.
First time using etrailer and I can say I’m very pleased. I looked around for a good price on the Camco
insulators for RV roof vents. They beat everyone in price and the delivery took just a few days.
The insulators fit perfect and I like the idea of being able to unzip and wash the covers.
Definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Great
We recently moved into an RV and with winter coming we needed 2 more insulation pillows. These were slightly delayed but we received them today. I have posted pictures of them installed. We have a 2016 Thor chateau and they fit perfectly.
