Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Thule LED Interior Light for your rooftop cargo box. This built-in LED light, it's gonna brighten the inside of your cargo box so you can quickly find what you need without relying on a flashlight or your vehicle's interior lights. One of the most convenient features is the motion-controlled operation, so it's gonna automatically turn on when you open the cargo box and then shut off when you close it so there's no switch to remember and no extra steps involved. So this is on right now and I just wanna walk you through real quick how this is going to work.
So you've gotta switch here. That will turn that off completely. So that's gonna turn off the motion sensitivity, but when I turn that switch on, as you can see, it already picked up my motion there, so that's gonna make it automatically light up. Then after a short period of time, the light will shut itself off. Lemme go ahead and turn my studio lights off here real quick, just to give you a better idea of how bright this is going to be.
I'm gonna go back out to my wide view here so you can see it and just kind of shine it on my tabletop here a little bit. So I think for an enclosed space, like your cargo box, this is gonna do a really good job of lighting up that interior. Going back to my closeup view, you can see that it's a real nice even light and obviously it's a bright white color here. Insulation's going to be pretty straightforward. I'm gonna go ahead and turn that switch off there to turn that light off.
Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. It doesn't require any tools. The light is going to mount on the inside of the cargo box lid using this included adhesive. So it's probably a good idea to maybe take some alcohol pads or wipes and just thoroughly clean that surface that you're gonna be sticking this to. And then you'll just peel back that film and stick this into whatever, wherever is gonna work best for you.
I do like that it does include this bracket here, so you can remove the light if you want to use it for other uses, and then you can just snap it back into that bracket when you are ready to use it inside of that box. If you have a larger cargo box and you want more complete illumination, you could add a second light for better coverage throughout the interior. Retrieving my ruler here. Lemme give you some measurements so you have a good idea of the size. The overall, call it length, almost eight inches end to end, about, let's say, seven and 15/16th inches long. The overall height, including the bracket, about an inch and 1/2 or so. Hopefully it gives you a good idea of what to expect, but it's a great size, very easy to use, very easy to mount. I do love the motion sensitivity. Knowing me, I'd probably forget to turn the light off when I'm done, so you're not gonna have to worry about that with this light. A brief set of instructions are also included to guide you through the real simple installation. It does include a battery and I forgot which type is included. It's AAA battery, so mine did include a AAA battery. So more than likely yours will include that as well. So I do like that when manufacturers such Thule includes the battery. So basically this is gonna be ready to go right outta the box. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
