Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this replacement Yakima 1A rain gutter tower. Now folks, if you're watching this, more likely you're either replacing a worn out or broken part, or maybe you bought a used kit and you're missing a few parts and you need to get 'em, well, either way, we got you covered here at etrailer, this guy will clamp onto the vehicle rain gutter with the provided lip here that is adjustable. Once you tighten everything, it'll clamp on and it provides a nice base for the Yakima roof rack crossbars, and those will go through there. It does adjust to non-parallel rain gutters and it is lockable if you purchase the same key system or SKS cores, which are sold separately. Now with those cores, you can lock the towers to the vehicle's roof, so the attachment point here and everything will be locked where no one could get it on or off without a key.
Everything here is constructed from a tough Zytel nylon. Again, it's a height of seven and a quarter inches. And folks, you can purchase separately what's called 1A HiRise Spacers to then also increase the lift here that you're getting from the roof of your vehicle to the bar by another three and a half inches. That HiRise Spacer is sold separately and it's part number Y01101. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this replacement Yakima 1A rain gutter tower.

While these are a little pricey, the quality was very good and the install simple and easy. The rails appear to be sturdy. Won't know until I use them for a few months.

Did an excellent job guys. The Yakima towers arrived on time and in good shape. Mounted right up to the canopy clips, installed the existing bars, kayak racks, and lock cores without any issues. All is ship-shape now. Will definitely come back to you guys again.
