  • How to Remove Old Thule Lock Core to Replace it
    Can you get the lock unlocked? If so you can insert the Thule change key # 853-1251 into the core and then pull the core out all the way and replace it with a new one like the part # THLOCKN166 and then use the new key part # THKEYN166. To install the new lock core you'd just reverse the process described.

    Hello Todd. I have a solution for you, but unfortunately the lock and key set that come in the SportRack Trailer Combo, part # A32022 are randomized at the factory and can't be ordered to match. However, you can easily order the additional replacement cores with part # THLOCKN166 and get a change key with part # TH42BJ if you don't already have one to swap the locks on the kit to match your other Thule products. Additional Keys are available as part # THKEYN166.
