Bought a Sportrack Horizon L on FB Marketplace. Lady only had one key. Local hardware store didn't have a compatible blank key. Saw N083 stamped on the key, did a little research and found this one with the same stamp.
Pleasantly surprised these were already cut and worked with my rack, so I didn't have to go get them cut.

Amazing service! Leaving for vacation and two days prior couldn't find lock key for my Thule cargo carrier. Found one on etrailer and next day had it. Paid premium for over night but gotta do what you gotta do.
The keys were perfect, I could open the top parts of the rack but it seems that the bottom parts that sit on the roof are different cause I can open the end parts on them and there is no number on them or indication to match to a key number, beside that I,m very satisfied thank you

The key I sought was for a Sears car top carrier from 2001. There is no marking or model number on the carrier, but the lock does have the key code stamped on it. Sears had no replacement key. Sears sent me to etrailer.
As I stepped through the process to get a key I discovered that the key code number I entered (900) would default to 090 on the etrailer web page. The web site didn’t give me any error message and the key looked very similar to the one I lost - so I ordered two.
When they arrived, I discovered that they fit perfectly into to the lock’s key slot, but alas the key pattern was incorrect.
I called etrailer for help. The rep I spoke to was very helpful. He went through my exact process and ended up with key 090, just as I had done! He told me that Thule made those car top carriers for Sears, so that explains why the key would fit well into the lock’s slot. Right kind of key, wrong code. No way to get the right code.
So money wasted, but that was my risk. I knew that 900 was not 090 but that was the only option and the web site didn’t warn me. Returning the keys would be more trouble than the keys cost.
I think if I had known the model of my carrier or had a key code that the web site recognized, the whole process would have worked fine.
Just be aware...there doesn’t seem to be any logic in the key code search logic to prevent you from entering a key code that doesn’t exist. In my case it defaulted to a number that looked close and it showed me a picture of a VERY similar key. But it was wrong.
The rest of the story: I took the car top carrier to a locksmith. Within two hours (and $40 later) he had it open and had made four keys for me. Those keys all work so I now know what key code 900 for an unknown model Thule car top carrier looks like - if anyone needs that useless bit of info. ??
