The replacement offset snap studs on the Extang tonneau slide along the rails, and they can be removed and rotated to ensure a proper fit in any climate. Cold weather causes vinyl to contract, and heat causes it to expand, so the fit of any vinyl tonneau cover will change according to the outdoor temperature. To make sure your tonneau cover always fits properly, the tonneau uses these adjustable studs so that you can fine-tune the fit for the season.
Set the studs in the "High" position in cold weather and in the "Low" position in warm weather. When in the "high" position, the cover is given a bit more slack to allow for the natural contraction that takes place when vinyl is exposed to cold temperatures. The "low" position takes up any slack, ensuring that the cover stays taut even as the vinyl expands.

Overall great replacement snap for a older tonneau cover, easy to install and the ability to change the snap for cold and warm weather is a nice feature for proper fit.
I made my order on a Monday and paid extra to receive my order by the following Thursday. I waited until Friday and still hadn't received it so I called and they didn't hesitate to put the shipping charges back on my debit card. I didn't receive the package until the following Monday, the label was perfect I don't know why it sat UPS warehouse at Lathrop that is only 1 miles from my home.

Your snap bases were a gid send…they came on the mail today just before I left on a vacation with my truck. A covered truck bed is sooo much nicer then the cover having to be rolled up cause you have no idea where 15+ snaps went off my rails for the cover. I know these covers are outdated with the snaps but I did not have the money for a new cover…Bless your company for still stocking them

Theyre still working and keeping the tonnue cover on tightly. Its a product that you buy once and dont have to worry about again.
