Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement pin and clip for the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel trailer hitch system. Now this part here is gonna replace the non-locking pin and clip on the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel trailer hitch system. With the adapter, we do sell those separately, they come in two part numbers. First part number is AM3200, and the other system is part number AM3225. Basically those systems will come with two of these pins and clips.
One is used to hold the hitch ball to the base unit. And just to show what we're talking about, I'm gonna pop up an insert there. You can see the pitch ball inserted into the unit and you can see this pin and clip holding it in place. And the other one, it comes with two, the other one is used to hold that square coupler tube at the bottom that goes onto your gooseneck ball, and then the pin and clip is inserted to hold it into place. Now this is just for a quantity of one pin and clip.
Now this can also be used with two and a half inch by two and a half inch trailer hitch receivers. Measurement on this, the usable length, which is measured from here to here, is gonna be right at three and a quarter inches. The diameter on this pin is five eighths of an inch, and again, it's for a quantity of one pin and clip. But that's gonna do it for a look at the replacement pin and clip for your Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel trailer hitch system.
Hard to find and be sure it was what I wanted so it was a roll of the dice. Andersen was mentioned in the description so I went with that. I had bought a used hitch and it didn't have the pin and I didn't have the hitch yet so I had no experience directly with the hitch. Never could find measurements on the part or a part number or anything on Andersen site. And I couldn't search for it on etrailer site and find it I had to have Google find it and take me to etrailers site but I find that pretty often wit etrailer. In the end it really is just a standard receiver hitch pin I could have got one at the auto parts store. But the part fit and the price was good and etrailer shipped it right out. All good in the end.
These hitch pins are great, you don't have to worry about installing pin in a direction where the other types hit bumper tops or bottoms and can't line up hole easily to install pin.

I bought an Anderson hitch for my camper. It worked great Unfortunately I sold that camper and purchased a larger one. The previous owner said everything goes including his hitch conventional design. So, I let my Anderson go with the old trailer since the camper I was purchasing had one. Boy do I miss the Anderson. It pulled so much smoother with no dolphining. Can’t bust for a new hitch now but you can bet when I can it will be an Anderson.
