Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real brief look at this Flair-It PEXLock Swivel Female Adapter Fitting. This RV freshwater plumbing swivel adapter is going to connect pipes in your RV freshwater plumbing system, whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines. This is going to work with your PEX pipes, PERT tubing, and IAPMO approved polyvinyl pipes. Now, this 1/2 inch crimp connection with the PEXLock clamp means that you're not gonna need any specialized tools for you to get a secure fit while you install this. And the reusable PEXLock clamps are installed with just a pair of pliers and can be removed with the screwdriver.
The 1/2 inch FPT connection is going to fit hoses or tubes with a 1/2 inch MPT fitting, and that swivel connection reduces stress on your hoses or pipes. Now, to install this, it's going to be relatively easy. You're just going to slide the PEXLock clamp over the end of the pipe that you want to install the fitting in, and you do wanna make sure that it's flushed with the straight cut of the end. And then you're going to insert the fitting into the end of the pipe, making sure that it meets the positive stop on the fitting. And then, finally, you're gonna use a pair of pliers to squeeze together the two ears of the clamp until you hear a click or until the two ears actually overlap and engage each other.
And on your screen, I'm including an illustration, a photo of what this is going to look like after installation. So again, it's gonna be a very easy install, and the connection's going to be very secure for you. We have been very impressed with how secure the connections have been on other Flair-It fittings that we have tested. So once you have this installed, you're really not gonna have to worry about the fit, it's going to be very tight and very secure for you. Now, to remove this fitting, you'll carefully use a bladed screwdriver to remove the PEXLock clamp, and that will allow you then to remove the fitting.
