Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement 98-inch-long arm for the ARB soft case awning. This part here will replace one complete support arm for the ARB 98-inch-long awning. This will work on the awning part numbers 814201, 814401, 814409, and 814410. This does work with the soft case awnings, and you can see it's actually two sections. This will actually extend out to get your 98-inch-long.
It is a lightweight aluminum construction. Does provide the horizontal support to the left or the right side of your awning. And as we mentioned, it's two pieces. It includes the arm joint and the foot to expedite installation. But that's gonna do it for the look at this replacement 98-inch-long arm for the ARB soft case awning.

I don't normally write reviews but reading one of the reviews on this product influenced my decision to make a purchase and I hope mine will help someone too.
We have the ROAM awning on our overland trailer.Three years ago a major thunderstorm left one of the horizontal arms bent beyond repair. I searched online for a replacement arm and ended up putting my name on a list to be notified when that part was available and replaced that awning. Recently I decided to see if a replacement arm was available so we could once again use the old awning or just buy a new one. This time I found a replacement on etrailer. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. Today I received the order. It was packaged securely so it was delivered with no damage. For my ROAM awning the swing end was slightly too wide and the bolt hole was slightly too small but after a few minutes with a palm sander and drill the arm fit perfectly. Like a previous reviewer stated this arm has a round rather than square piece that holds it in place when putting the awning up or down but that isn't an issue for me at all. I am very happy with this purchase and will be buying another replacement arm in the event a repair is needed again.
Exact part
The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was no option for an exact replacement I wanted for my seemingly identical but not ARB brand awning. Mine has a square rubber block and this one has rounded that fits in the channel to hold it while put away. No problem though as the extension piece fits perfectly in the mounted piece, so I have exactly what I needed. Thank you for making me whole again.
