Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the MEC RV propane pigtail hose for an auxiliary propane tank. So folks, you're going to need something like this whenever you have to use an auxiliary cylinder or you want to use an auxiliary cylinder to fill up or use at your campsite versus taking that motor home, coach, camper all the way into town to refill it if something's empty. So what's good about this is you can connect a portable propane tank with this hose. It's a 20 inch pigtail and this will make the connection between the auxiliary cylinder and your propane cylinder on your system. So you got two sides.
You got your male POL fitting and this has a seven eighth inch nut that spreads directly into the internal PLL connection right at the propane cylinder and tightens down. And on the other end you have your quarter inch male inverted flare for connecting to a compatible female inlet on your propane system. So important feature in this is on this end here, the male PLL, you have an excessive flow protection built right into this. So if this we inchesre to be damaged or something or gas suddenly started escaping too quickly, this fit is designed to restrict the flow and help limit the amount of propane that leaks out. This hose is a thermoplastic hose.
It meets all UL and CGA approvals for propane services and it uses fully crimped brass ferals on both ends. So again, folks, if you're looking for a portable auxiliary cylinder, excuse me, a portable auxiliary propane cylinder connection, this is a great option for you. This again is the 20 inch long.
