A. This muffler's stainless steel, perforated core runs straight through from the inlet to the outlet, allowing the exhaust to pass through without restriction. It contains no baffles, chambers or louvers that would restrict airflow. When air flows unimpeded through the exhaust system, horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency increase. All these factors lead to improved engine performance.

B. and C. To regulate loud exhaust noise, tightly packed layers of stainless steel mesh (B) and acoustic fiber (C) insulate the core. These materials absorb sound waves, shield high temperatures and prevent hazardous blowouts. The resulting tone is a smooth, deep growl, specific to MagnaFlow.

D. The inlets and outlets are lap-joint welded to the muffler body for durable construction that eliminates distortion and cracking.

E. All materials are made from 100-percent stainless steel with a satin finish, making this muffler corrosion resistant.

Honestly this was totally worth the buy. It's been about a year now and hasn't given me any issues and my car still sounds like beast it is from the first day this was installed. Would highly recommend to anybody who wants that deeper aggressive tone on their car!

I purchased this muffler and had it welded in at my local exhaust shop sounds great.
This is my setup: Chevy 305CI(5.0L) stock engine (no mods), Dual 2.5" Input - Single 3" Output "Y" pipe, to a 3" honeycomb style high flow Catalytic Converter, two feet of pipe back to this Magnaflow 3" Offset "Straight-through" style muffler. The Inside of this muffler is Very close to an ordinary glasspack, but has about 3.5" of pack per side vs. a glasspack is about 0.5" of pack.

This performance muffler has notable interior renasonce, but it's a very deep throaty sound (sounds kind of like a diesel that is really lugging and rolling the coal, to describe the tone of this muffler). It doesn't cackle like Flowmaster Super 40 Series Mufflers. It will cackle a tiny bit if you "side-step" the throttle; from full throttle and you are down shifting to slow down. But you have to be listening for it. The cackle doesn't jerk you awake like a Flowmaster Super 10, 40, 44 Series, or deafening straight pipes. ha ha ha. Here is a video I made with this muffler. As you should be able to hear it sounds awesome! And it's perfectly legal to my knowledge, even in California.

I bought this muffler because it was the only one I could find that was 4” all the way through. Other 4” mufflers had 3.5” internal. I was installing a 4” stainless steel exhaust on my 05 f350 6.0L.
The sound is just right. Not too loud. No drone in the cab while driving. Has a nice rumble to it and turbo whistles nicely.

  • Replacement Muffler for a 2000 Chevy Blazer to Increase Sound Output
    An exhaust tip like the part # MF35212 would certainly look good on your 2000 Chevy Blazer, but it isn't going to change the sound of your exhaust. For that you would need to replace your current muffler with something like the # MF11215 as this will increase the sound quite a bit since it is a straight through muffler. The inlet and outlet of the muffler is 2-1/4 inches which will match what you have on your vehicle's exhaust. You would want to have a muffler shop cut out your current...
