Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Edge EvoHT2 handheld tuner. So this is going to be a nice device to help us dial in where we want our truck to be, to make sure that we're getting the most out of it. Whether that's to get better performance, get higher RPMs out of your engine before the automatic transmission kicks in so you can get to higher speeds, get more horsepower out of that, or get better towing performance by being able to kind of do the same thing, get more torque out of your truck. Or you can also use this to get better gas mileage as well.

Those are kind of the three big things that you can utilize this for.It also is going to allow you to keep track of your data. So, it gives you all those data points on your engine, allows you to keep track of those milestones so you can see how often you need to get any kind of maintenance done, see where you're at with those kinds of things.It's going to plug into your OBD2 port, and this is designed to work with GM vehicles, about 2017 and newer. The easiest way to figure out if this is going to work for your particular vehicle is to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com, put in your year, make and model, and then go from there if you haven't already, and that'll show you if this is going to be a fit for you.So let's take a little bit of a closer look. It's just going to be a nice handheld system, pretty compact, should be able to fit this in a side pocket or somewhere out of the way. You just want to make sure that that cord isn't going to get caught up in your feet while you're driving.

Again, that plugs into your OBD2 port, so pretty easy to get this installed, and then we'll have our nice LCD screen here. It's going to be a color high res screen, easy to see. Right now I don't really have anything to plug this into, so it's hard for you to see that here, but it does have an easy to use system there.We'll have our buttons to make our selection. This cable is going to plug in at the bottom. It's just going to be a USB2 mini-USB cord, lets you update this software to make sure that everything's up to date as time goes on.

We also get two kind of cool 3D stickers. They're sort of like that epoxy. I'm kind of a sucker for stickers, so that is exciting to me. Might not be anything to you, but I like to know that they're there. So, let you know.As far as what settings this is going to have, it's going to kind of depend on your vehicle.

Different engines and makes will have kind of different settings available. But this is going to be compatible with other devices. So, if you have a throttle body spacer, shorty headers, catback exhaust system or a cold air intake, this is going to work with most of those right out of the box, so you won't have to make any other adjustments. It should be able to work with those right out of the box, as I said. And again, it's going to allow you to make all these adjustments to get the most out of your vehicle.This is made in the USA, it has a year warranty, and that's about going to do it for our look at the Edge EvoHT2. Of course, you do want to read the instructions whenever you're using this, make sure you follow all their stipulations. Sometimes if you're using this for the performance settings, you might need to change up what kind of gas you use. But yeah, that's about it. I hope I've answered all of your questions.
