Hello again, friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with your custom installation kit and LED lights. Now, these motorized running boards will lower automatically to create a pair of steps on each side of your vehicle. I'm gonna throw up a graphic down the screen, so you can kinda see what that looks like in action. The second step we'll deploy and retract when you open or close your door of the vehicle. Now, they do have built-in raised tread on these extruded aluminum parts, and that's to help you have grip and everything, but also, it's just one piece that's built in, you don't have to worry about changing out step pads and stuff in the future.
Now, this is a custom fit, it will fit 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler and 2018 Jeep JK Wranglers. So always check your fit guide on etrailer.com, put in your make and model, make sure you're getting the right parts for your particular vehicle. Now, these do have a built-in smart system, and that just means that they're gonna stop from deploying or retracting if there's an obstacle such as a rock, maybe some snow built up, ice, that kind of stuff that would impede it from working correctly. It's gonna note that by itself and not open or close. Again, it's gonna have integrated LED lights.
Again, you won't be able to see them right now, unfortunately, because they come on automatic when you open and close the door, and that step retracts or extends out like I showed you in that image before. Now, they do have a power override switch, which lets you disable the automatic step function and the LEDs if you wanna do that, so you don't have to keep it on all the time, you can disable that. And I wanna kinda show you some of the hardware and stuff that comes in the kit, I'll give you a close up here in a minute, but while I got it all out here zoomed out. So the steps are gonna come with the built-in wire harness as far as the plugs for the steps themselves. You're gonna get the four brackets.
You're gonna get instructions, all the wiring harnesses, all the wire loom, the switches, the nuts, bolts, hardware, all that kind of stuff, and the main electronic brain assembly here. So this guy, as you can see, not too big, about as big as my hand. Again, you're gonna get all the wiring harnesses that you need to reach both sides. You're gonna get all the connectors. You got Deutsche connections in here, zip ties, double-sided sticky tape, wire loom, things to run the wire safely up out of the way.
All your ring terminals, everything's built in, very, very nice set of colorful instructions. Those are always nice, you get colored pictures. That's really gonna make it a lot easier for you. Again, this is a no-drill custom application, so you don't have to worry about drilling and, you know, messing with that kind of stuff. Now, because this is a fit for Jeeps, there is an available kit that is sold separately, I'll put that up there on the screen. This kit is gonna provide a manual operation switch for your Jeeps without doors. So let's say you take the Jeep door off, you know, no doors, or even some of the ones that are just the soft doors, maybe they don't use that same integrated system for the opening door switch. This kit, you can manually open and close them that way. They are made in the USA, very nice product. Support our country, support your local manufacturers out there, that's always a plus in my book. Now, as far as some measurements, the steps themselves on the top are 48 3/4 inches long. They are four inches wide on the step pad itself where you put your foot. When that automatic step deploys, that step is gonna be 44 inches long and three inches wide on the step itself. Now, that dropdown, like that graph I just showed you before at the beginning, the drop is gonna be about eight inches. So most house steps in your house are gonna have about a 7 1/2 inch rise or drop. But because this is for a vehicle, whatnot, eight inches is kinda the standard for that. These bad boys are rated at 650 pounds capacity each. If you're a hefty guy like myself, you don't have to worry about stepping down them, 'cause they're gonna hold you with no problems whatsoever. Again, lifetime limited warranty, so you don't have to worry about replacing stuff. If you ever have an issue, either contact us or the manufacturer, and we'll get you taken care of shortly. Again, all extruded aluminum, nice black powder coat finish. Very, very durable product. The brackets and everything, nice hard metal, powder coated, corrosion resistant. They really did a nice finish on this from what I can tell as far as the brackets and the steps themselves and the housings to get that coverage all the way around. And it looks like they're gonna be very, very durable for a long time to come. Well, again, I'm Steve with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for joining me today.
