Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Carr Hide Away Step for Work Trucks. It's a side mounted great steel platform and 24 inch long. Now this is a custom application. I want you to make sure you're double checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com.
On the homepage, enter things like year, make, and model under My Vehicle or Vehicle Information. Be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, when this is installed, it's going to simply install and make it easy for you to access your side cargo. It's gonna mount to the flat surface under your toolbox on your work truck, and the highway design extends out or stores under the vehicle with the simple push of your foot. Now, you may require cutting, or these metal straps rather, to fit that toolbox.
So just keep that in mind. Every vehicle's different, every fit's different. I'm gonna go ahead and pull this top plate off. That would be installed, but I'm gonna pull it off for demo purposes today. And I've got this all cable tied together so it doesn't accidentally pop out on me and whatnot.
But very simple installation and use. You got all your included hardware, brackets, and of course the main top bracket here as well. Everything here that's steel has been powder coded, a nice black finish, so it's gonna resist chipping, peeling, and fading. And it's a simple bolt-on installation with this hardware that it comes. So it comes fully assembled.
It's rated for 500 pounds. The actual graded step is 24 inches long by seven inches deep. And again, everything here is a rustproof steel construction with that powder coat finish. We were looking for a compact yet sturdy step for the back of our brush truck that we are building. This step fit in the area we needed to install so we ordered it and gave it a test. Looks good and works great and allows Firefighters to deploy step even when their hands are full.
OVER ALL GOOD PRODUCT. STEP IS AT TIMES HARD TO PUSH IN COULD USE MORE SPRING BACK FORCE TO HELP WITH THAT. REALLY LIKE THE ANTI SLIP STEP HELPS WITH LOADING AND UNLOADING DURING SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. EASY INSTALL. VERY DURABLE.
