Hot-spot mirrors may be placed anywhere you wish but are typically placed on the bottom outside corner of the OE mirror. The desired placement varies from one person to the next. CIPA recommends placing a piece of folded tape on the back of the hot spot and sticking it onto your OE mirror where you think you might want it. Then sit in your car and look through the hot spot. Keep adjusting the placement until it suits your needs. Finally, remove the folded tape, peel the adhesive backing tape off the hot spot and apply it permanently.

Today we're taking a look at the CIPA spot mirror. This is a convex mirror. Part number on it is CM49002. This mirror is 2-1/4 inches wide by 1-1/4 tall, and this is designed as kind of a replacement for the old round little spot mirrors that would go on. Got a lot more technology built in here. You can see it's in a wedge shape.
This is going to give us a much more expanded field of view. It's really a nice mirror. You don't get a lot of distortion on it. You can see the fastener here on the back. It's just going to be a peel-off application. This is going to be great for RVs, campers, hauling trailers, whether they're enclosed or not.
Just going to give us that nice, wider angle that we're not used to from the smaller spot mirrors. Now let's head out on the road and we'll see what kind of difference this mirror can really make as we travel down the highway. That's going to complete our look at the CIPA wedge-shaped stick-on HotSpot mirror, part number CM49002.

Only thing is I should have checked to see if you had not sure what they are called but “ brackets “ that go around bars for mirror mount would be nice to have a choice of size. Hard to find and would have saved me shipping and made a bigger sale.

Anyway here is mine.
I Needed to put extension mirrors and wanted square ones to match and found them on your site. I still need to figure out one mount need like a 3” arm and a 1-1/2” and 1” clamps to stabilize passenger mirror.
Two things I didn’t like was..
1, the loose mirrors inside the plastic housing probably going to just put clear silicone on edges.
2, the sticker ....
“ objects in mirrors are closer than they appear “
has glue that’s hard to remove and leaves a residue. Cling on label would have been better.

Mirrors work fine. They seem bulky on the mirror for how small they are and they stick off the mirrors a little more than I'd like. It's enough I'm contemplating going to flat round mirrors.

It is as advertised and what we expected. It fits perfectly and does not take up much space on the outside door mirror.
Just what I needed to see the upper parts of the 5th wheel when backing into a parking spot.
I just returned from my first trip using the mirrors.Instructions were simple and easy to understand, takes less than a minute to read.The mirrors snap right on and are very secure. I had no issues with vibration and the mirrors maintained there setting for the entire 300 mile trip. They are just as easy to remove as to install and it only takes a second. They look great on my Ram truck, like original equipment. I am very pleased with my purchase, and highly reccomend them.

I needed to extend the range of vision of my mirrors on my camper-equipped Tacoma. This was the perfect solution. They allow me to see anything approaching on either side. They're a simple solution that took five minutes to install.
Product arrived on time and in good condition. I am very pleased with this mirror. I was having trouble finding the correct size. I am also very pleased with the trailer hitch that I ordered for my car a few years, ago.
The product was delivered on time and as advertized. The mirror provides good extended lateral viewing and I think almost totally eliminates the blind spots. The installation is easy, but IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS MIRRORS THAT FOLD INWARD towards the door it is important before installing this mirror to check the clearance between the face of this mirror and the window pane and rubber window seal when the vehicle mirror is folded inward. This is a very minor concern, however.
Far superior product than the current competitors. The greater convex angle of the quarter view mirror displays a much larger image of vehicles in the blind spot. Shallower mirrors display a tiny dot that makes it impossible to determine how close a blind spot vehicle actually is.
This is exactly what we needed to eliminate the blind spot on my wife's new car. Great item. Also, etrailer.com is always a pleasure to do business with.

These little mirrors are still great. They really eliminate the blind spots and have held up well.
Purchased a 2024 Ford Ranger and cannot find mirror extensions I'm satisfied with, which I've used in the past on my F150 when pulling my wider than the truck boat and trailer. Mounted these and they do give a wider view of vehicles following the trailer. Good price and quick service.

Living here in the cold of an Alaskan winter my mirrors are as good as the day I put them on in Florida. Great product and the price cant be beat.
