Cracked your RV mirror but the rest is still good? This replacement glass is an easy fix without swapping the whole thing out. It drops right into place and gives you a clear view again so you can get back on the road without missing a beat.
When only the lower convex glass is cracked and your mirror head is still usable, replacing the full mirror assembly adds work and parts you're not trying to touch. This Burco Redi Cuts piece replaces just the RV side view mirror glass, restoring the damaged viewing surface without swapping the full OEM mirror assembly. Once the broken glass is addressed, your existing mirror body can keep doing its job while you get a clear reflection back in that lower section.
The lower mirror section matters most when you need a wider look along the side of a large vehicle. This replacement uses a lower convex surface, so the repair brings back the wide-angle view from that lower glass area. After it's installed, you can use that section again for checking nearby traffic, lane position, and close-side clearance.
Mirror glass repairs go sideways fast when the replacement is even slightly off, so the size needs to match before anything gets installed. This drop-fit glass is specified at 3-15/16" tall x 8-3/4" wide x 8-7/8" diagonal, with the longest diagonal measured from the inside upper corner to the outside lower corner. After confirming those measurements against your mirror glass, the replacement can fit into the correct lower mirror space and put that viewing surface back in use.
Replacing mirror glass often means working near old adhesive, cracked pieces, and tight mirror openings, so the edge finish matters during the repair. This replacement glass has smooth edges for safer handling while positioning the new piece. Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at a Burco Readi Cut RV side mirror replacement glass. That's right folks. So the neat thing about this product is you don't have to pay a whole lot of money and replace that whole mirror assembly. You can just replace the side view mirror glass itself.
So let's get into it. Now, starting off, obviously you're gonna wanna match up your measurements. That's gonna be the number one thing with matching up any side mirror, obviously the shape. Once you've got the shape, then you need to check the measurements and you're gonna measure in three different ways. And I'm gonna go ahead and throw up an image on the screen.
First, you're gonna measure vertical from top to bottom, and then you're gonna measure horizontal left to right. And then you're gonna measure your mirror's longest diagonal measurement. So from the inside upper to the outside lower. And then I'm gonna go ahead and show you those measurements here as well. So if we start it up and down, we get about three and 15-sixteenths tall on this particular one.
And if we go side to side on the longest part here, I get right at eight and three-quarter inches width. And then on the longest diagonal, if I tilt this at a diagonal and I got this corner here, I'm right at about eight and seven-eighths on the diagonal. And you can kind of like curve that while you're measuring and verify that. So once you got your measurements, then you'll know that this is a direct replacement for you. And this particular one does fit a whole lot of coaches.
So again, make sure you're double checking that measurement. You're also gonna get these other pieces that are required for installation. A lot of different foam pads here. And then you got these two little suction cups. And from what I've gathered from the instruction is you're gonna be using those suction cups to help hold that mirror surface to then push it in place exactly where it goes, along with this round piece here that has this protective peel back with a nice strong adhesive on the back. So again folks, these are gonna be a drop fit install. They're gonna give you a quick easy DIY replacement. These are compatible with non-heated OEM mirrors only. Obviously, you can see this is just a pane of glass mirrored. On the surface, there's no electrical, no heat, and this is a premium mirror glass giving you a nice, reliable reflection. You can see the reflection of my studio all the way from the ceiling all the way across the table.
