Video Transcript for Breaking Down the SeaSucker Flex-X Phone Mount

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our SeaSucker Flex-X phone mount, and it's gonna be a vacuum mount in white color. So folks, this flex mount will let you mount your phone or other small electronics for hands-free accessibility on the go. Now, with this nice 4 1/2 inch pump-activated vacuum cup, it will mount to most non-porous horizontal or vertical surfaces. They give you this nice hard plastic cover. I'll set that to the side, but you wanna make sure you're covering this back up when not in use to keep this surface free of debris, scratches, that kind of stuff.

And you can kind of see that little hole there. That's where it is when you're pumping here, it's vacuuming out all the air from underneath here and creating that nice vacuum hold. So again, it will mount to a non-porous smooth surface such as metal, glass, fiberglass, that kind of stuff. Sides of trailers, boats, pretty much whatever you want to use it on. Now before I mount it and show you how I mount it, I wanna show you the actual arm and that kind of stuff.

This arm is screwed in. You can fold it to any kind of direction you want. Let's say you're mounting it and you want it up here or something like that. You have many different options as far as the angles. Now you can also unscrew this arm.

The arm itself from here to here is seven inches long. And on this base, you have the spot right here that's threaded where I just had it in originally, or you could thread it into the side here and have a different option. So maybe you're mounting it to the side like that and you want it over here or a different angle or something. You have two different options on where you can mount this arm. Now I'm gonna put it back where I had it originally, just for demonstration purposes.

Okay, so the phone feature itself, so this guy here is actually spring loaded. And when you have it here, you would put your phone in here and then this would spring back automatically and hold it in place. I've tried my phone. My phone's actually just a little bit too wide so it doesn't fit in here, but you also get this little rubber holder here. And basically you put your phone, you put the corners over all four corners of the phone, and that also gives you then a nice anti-slip surface whenever you have your phone on there. So that's something else you could put your phone down, you don't have to worry about it sliding off or anything. So again, you just simply put your phone in here, and this would hold it with the spring tension in place. Now, as far as mounting the vacuum mount itself, you simply start pumping until all the orange on this orange indicator has disappeared, and that's the sign that it has vacuumed out all the air. Now it's tight, ready to go. Again, you can mount it that way, any way, it's gonna hold. It is rated for 120 pounds of pull force. So once you've got that air vacuumed out, it's gonna be really, really tight. And believe me, I've done a whole bunch of these and these guys do hold. There is a rubber tab here and one here on the back. You simply push them in and pull up to release its vacuum. Now I made it look easy, again, I've done a whole bunch of these. Trust me, the first few times you do that, it's gonna be tough for you. But don't fret. again, it's made to hold in place, right So just take your time, you'll figure it out. Overall, the height is 11 inches. Again, it's a 4 1/2 inch diameter vacuum-seal pump. Folks, it has a nice limited lifetime warranty and it is made here in the US. Now, there is one thing that's sold separately I recommend you get. It is a waterproof lubricant, and it's like basically like a gel. What you'll do is you'll lubricate this pump inside here. Just follow the instructions that come with that on how to do that. It's pretty simple, but basically over time, you can get debris and gunk and stuff in there. That gel just kind of keeps all that out. It also keeps this lubricated and keeps it working nice and easy. Well folks, one last thing to mention before I go. This will hold items up to 3 1/2 inches wide. That's gonna wrap it up for our look at the SeaSucker Flex-X phone mount.
