What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this jumpstart/inflator from Performance Tools. Now this is going to work at 900 peak amps, so this is good for pretty much any vehicle. Four-cylinder, six-cylinder, eight-cylinder engines, gas or diesel. Let's check it out.

This jump box is going to come in handy for any of those emergency situations. It's happened before where your battery won't start and you're not at home. You're out. And I have jumper cables in my vehicle and that's kind of a pain to get those out 'cause then I have to rely on somebody else. I have to wave somebody down or call somebody to come help give me a jump With this jump box, I can just hook it up to my battery, get my car started and get back on the road.

So that being said, let's check out the most important part. And that's the jumper cables themselves. They come attached to the box, look like they have a lot of tension on them. So it's a good snap. 'Cause you want it to be able to attach to those terminals on your battery.

I know I have a side post on mine, so that gives you even less to grab onto and making sure this has a good bite is going to keep that on there. I also like that It's stored on the box. That way it's not an extra attachment you have to look for and it keeps it nice and neat because it wraps around here and clamps back onto itself. So again, just keeps this nice and neat. 'Cause I have the jumper cables in my vehicle and they kind of just go everywhere in the back.

I try and jam them in a compartment or somewhere but they kinda just take a bunch of space 'cause I'm not going to be bothered to roll them up or anything. This one, it's right there and you can do it pretty easily. And that's both sides. You'll see, I'll flip it around. See they got the markers on them too. You'll see this one's negative. This one's positive. So not only by the color, but you've got the emblem here. So you know which one to hook up to what side of your battery. So let's try hooking it up. So that clamps on there pretty good. I can shake it back and forth a little bit and it doesn't come undone, which is good, 'cause sometimes you're putting these on, you're like walking over to grab the other one and one falls off. It can be kind of a pain. You can see the bright green light. That means you have the battery cables hooked up correctly. And then you're ready to throw this witch which gives it power and it gets it ready to jump. Now, this battery is not dead, so we're not going to do that. I don't want to damage the jump box or the battery. And now, this is what happens when you hook up the battery cables backwards. This does protect against the reverse polarity. So you don't have to worry about damaging anything and that's before we even added power. So it's giving you a big warning saying, put those cables around before you even power this up. Flip around the other side. I wanna show you the tire inflator here. It's all stored internally. You just got this panel and you can pull the air hose out. It's got the gauge built in here and this is the switch that's going to activate it. It's a lever style connection. You just put on there like that. Throw the lever down like that. Get a nice secure connection. It's not going to back off on you. And you can look on the gauge. It's already letting us know, got about 80 PSI in there. It doesn't really need much more, but I'll flip it on just show you how it works. We'll see how loud it gets. About your normal compressor sounds. Now it does have an automatic shutoff too, so it'll cool down. If you leave it running, let's say the tire is super flat, it will automatically shut off and cool itself off, so that it can go another round of air filling up the tire. It also comes with these extra ends there, for like a soccer ball or basketball and then for inflatable stuff too. So you have a bunch of options with this. You can connect. keep that down there in that. Same with his air hose. I like that it's all internal. You don't have the air hose hanging out or wrapped around there or anything. You can put it all back in there nice and neat. It's got 300 PSI. So it's going to be good enough for any of the vehicles you're trying to air up. It's not the fastest thing in the world but it's definitely gonna help you out when you need to air that tire up, so you can get to the gas station maybe and air it out further. That's good. I mean, I have one in my vehicle, but it's a small one. I kinda like this one better 'cause it's got the rubber grips on the bottom, so it's not going to move around on you like this. I turned it on and it stayed in place. So that's good. The one I have travels around and moves and you have to worry about this pulling out. You can leave this here, put that switch, and don't worry about it going like this a whole bunch. I really liked that part. It seems like it's going to do way better than that. And having the gauge right here is good. So you don't need two tools where you have to air it up, pull this off, check it, and then put this back on. I can just see where it's at right here and keep an eye on it. So looking at the front, we've got the power switch. You'll turn this on when you're ready to jump-start your vehicle. You got the USB port. You can charge any electronics you have with you. So that's just helpful if you're on the side of the road and it is emergency. Your phone's about dead. Your car is dead. This will get that charge so you can make that phone call for health. You also have the button here, which you push it once, It activates the LED light. Second time, it powers USB. Third time, turns it off. Now you got the charging port here. So we're going to plug in the AC adapter to plug it into the wall that charges the whole box. These are the indicator lights to show you where the charge is. These three here is what I'm talking about. You hit the button or you hold it down and it'll show you where it is. We're in the green. So that's on the high side. So we're at close to a full battery here. Moving over. We have two 12-volt outlets. So that'll be useful for any of those devices you have that you need to power up. You can plug it right in here and use this. Also has a nice grip on the top and the bottom. It's a rubberized grip. I like that. That way it kind of stays in place. You know, when you set it on these engine bays, they don't always have as much room as this truck does. This one has plenty of room to set it like this. No problems. But sometimes the cars, the smaller cars, don't have that much space. So you don't want this like dangling off the side when you're messing with battery cables or anything that. You want this to have good footing so it doesn't tip over on you. And I like that it's not top heavy either. It's smaller and that way it's going to stay in place. You don't accidentally knock it over or anything when you're trying to do something. We've got the wall adapter plugged in here just show you how it would charge up. You can see indicator lights telling you about where it is on the charge range there. And then there's also another adapter that plugs in here that will plug into a 12-volt outlet in your vehicle. So if you want to charge us on the go, you can. The battery inside has 12 amp hours. I recommend you check it every three months. Even at a full charge, batteries can degrade. You know, like a vehicle that sits too long and doesn't get fired up. It's going to check it every three months and make sure it's got that charged. 'Cause you want to make sure that it's charged when you need it, 'cause that's the whole point of having it. Another thing is with those 12-amp hours, it's not going to die after just one jump. So if you use this to jump your vehicle, you don't need to recharge it right away. It's not going to take it all the way down. You can get a few jumps out of it, still charge your phone, and use the light. When you're not using it, it stores in the back of your vehicle just fine. It can go in the trunk. Just put ours behind the back seat right there. It doesn't take up a whole lot of space and it's good to go whenever you need it. Overall, I think this is definitely a good tool to have. You never know when you're gonna need an emergency or like your car jumped. I've said before with my jumper cables. I don't like those as much because you have to rely on somebody else. So I have to ask a stranger around me or call somebody for help. This set up, as long as it's charged, I can jump my ride and get back home. Same thing, if I have a low tire, I don't have to drive to a gas station and risk it. Wherever I am, I can just pull this out, air up that tire and then get to a gas station or change the tire when I get home. Either way, it helped me out a bunch. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..
