Today we're going to be taking a look at the Deka 2 Gauge Professional Service Booster Cables. These booster cables are super long. They measure 24 feet long, they have high tension clamps that are designed for extra heavy duty commands, making them great for trucks and fleets. It's going to feature two gauge 100% copper conductors. Again, very heavy duty design. Everything is very well connected, high tension. You can really feel it the first time that you operate these clamps.
Handles are coated with a rubberized coating so that way even if you're working in wet conditions you're not going to lose a grip on that clamp. We're looking at a Thermoplastic Elastomer, that's TPE, cable insulation that protects against oil, grease, and abrasion. They are color coded, so black is for the negative terminal or post, red is positive. They're designed to be a tangle free dual cable set up when it comes to the construction. They're designed for maximum flexibility and easy handling. It's going to use the 600P clamp. It does come with the included storage back so it's got the nice zipper pouch here. Open that up, place the cables in there.

Color-coded, tangle-free dual cables are specifically designed for flexibility and easy handling.It took a little longer than I was expecting. e-trailer had to order the cables, this was then stated and going to take three weeks, it was not made clear before the order was completed. This being said, they kept me informed and the shipment was receiver earlier than they had stated. I ordered the DECO 2ga 24ft jumper cabled, they are a high quality product that I anticipate having the opportunity to use to save my backside for many years to come.
Great communication from seller. Properly packaged. Weight is as described. Wish I would have purchased these twenty-years ago. Will last several lifetimes.
Deka jumper cables are Tier 1. Cheaper than Amazon.com at the time of this review.
Hopefully I will never need these, but if I do I know that I have the very best. These will work in a parking lot. Life experience has taught me, "You get what you pay for." Not to use an aphorism, but it applies for this overbuilt item.

After sorting through the jumper cables on other online vendors and in the big box stores, I finally realized that ALL large gauge cables from China are copper plated (clad as they like to call them) aluminum. Most of the packages don't even mention copper. Not only do they have a much higher resistance to current flow, they also fail after only a couple of years due to the propensity for aluminum to stress harden and fracture from flexing. There were some quality USA sets online, but they all were more than $100 higher. This is an excellent set, and the springs in the clamps make a really tight connection. Some people will require both hands to attach them. Great price and super fast ship. The weight will tell you a lot. This set weighs 14lb 14 oz., an aluminum set of a larger gauge and same length weighs 8lb 12 oz. You can always look at the cut ends of the wire where it is attached to the clamp and you see the white/silver specks where there is no plating on the cut. I am keeping my inexpensive "copper clad" China set to loan out to friends and neighbors.
Very nice American made jumper cables that will last for a very long time.Sold by a great company. I've ordered many things over the years from etrailer, and the service is always exceptional.
Love these cables, they are “Very” heavy duty. The clamps are also very strong and clamp securely. I wouldn’t change a thing with the cables. That being said, the carrying bag (in my opinion) could have been constructed a bit “beefier”. It will work for now, but I envision it will tear or crack in cold weather down the road. STILL, these cables are GREAT and I would Highly recommend them!

Outstanding super heavy duty 24-foot long jumper cables, with 100% copper, 2-gauge wire. I learned a lesson recently, the hard way that the cheap, light weight jumper cables cannot be counted on. Luckily another camper had a set with real heavy copper wire cables, which worked immediately. For those that have cables that weigh less than 5-pounds or those cigarette lighter connection jumper toys, I suggest throwing them out and getting something that you can count on. These weigh close to 15-pounds, going by my bathroom scale. I am extremely pleased to find another impressive product still made in the USA, of USA components, which is an extremely rare event in 2015. I am certain that my family will still own these cables in 100+ years, if by chance cars are still around.
The only negative thing that I can say this product is that I fear they may walk off, if I do not keep careful track of them. Anyone who picks up this set and needs to use it in an emergency will definitely want a set of their own. The clamps are perfect for making a solid connection. For the record, I have not actually used them in an emergency yet, but with this product, it is straightforward to judge the quality by holding it in your hands. For those buying a pair only for a car, 2-gauge is overkill and you do not “need” a set this nice, but I now have two sets of these cables, so never again will need to wonder if cheap jumper cables will function. I am also thinking of buying a third set as a gift this December.
This is my first purchase through e-trailer. I shopped around roughly 6-years ago, for several on-line items, found one place that seemed to offer the best deals and basically depended solely on them for the few things that I buy through the web each year. I noticed last month that my normal go-to store listed high prices for jumper cables and on top of that, most cables received inferior ratings, so I shopped around. E-trailer offered the best deal that I could find, on the best affordable cables that I was able to locate. The next cheapest retailer was $20 more, when shipping was added. I learned a second lesson this summer- to no longer buy products blindly from an outfit, which years ago offered the best prices.
Some folks close to my age may remember back when cables like this were rough half the price, 40+ years ago. Those days are history, but thankfully, nice jumper cables are still available. I regret not buying these when I was young. Friends should not let friends buy junk tools that need to be depended on in an emergency!

Very impressed with these cables. After years of having basic, aluminum wired, economy cables, I decided to get real cables for my new-to-me F-350 Powerstroke. The cheap cables were just good enough to work on a Corolla, or lawn tractor, but when the time comes to light the 7.3, I wanted the real thing. I went with the 24 foot length so that I could help someone parked behind my longbed crew-cab if needed.
These things are heirlooms. They weigh about 15 lbs and are American made. These are certainly the last pair that I will ever need.
These are on my list of practical,"guy gifts", for my nephews and a buddy that has a 16 year old boy with his first truck.
Probably a good safety measure for long distance travel. One tradeoff is that this cable set is somewhat heavy if overall trip weight is concerned but you can't have everything. Seems like it would deploy out okay in cold weather.
These jumper cables are expensive and worth every penny. They are probably too heavy for women to work with. I'm an old guy and they are heavy for me to work with. They are long enough to connect from behind the vehicle (rather than in front or behind the vehicle).

These are a nice upgrade, to replace my 25 year old cables (4 gauge 20 ft) that have the insulation crumbling off. Same type of clamps with strong springs that work well. And made in the US. Very happy

Outstanding cables! Drug through the mud, across the ground, shoved into my truck. They take a licking and just keep on ticking. No rust or corrosion and you get an immediate jump.
High quality 100% copper cables. Not the cheaper knockoff with copper coated aluminum.
Have only used twice with zero problems ,but quality is top notch.. Would be a 5 if I used more.
