Bestop's Supertop soft tops are the industry standard in convenience, functionality and style.
The Supertop includes Bestop's patented Belt-Rail channel mount system for a snapless, easy installation. Belt-Rail system fastens to top of vehicle tub and features attachment points for bow supports.
The adjustable bow system makes installing and removing the top effortless. The tension of the metal bows can be raised and lowered, maintaining a perfect fit for the fabric soft top. Hardware is chemically treated and powder coated for a lasting effect.
Supertop is constructed from premium, OE-approved material. With industrial-strength thread, the top is mildew resistant and UV protected. The seams are heat sealed for watertight protection, and tops come in factory-original colors. The fabric stretches during installation, then retains its original shape to fit properly.
All windows are secured with heavy-duty YKK zippers for quick installation and removal. Windows are heat sealed and come in DOT-approved clear vinyl.
Supertop includes a tailgate bar, allowing trouble-free access to the rear cargo area with no need to remove or unzip the rear window.
The Supertop kit includes Belt-Rail system and hardware, bow supports, fabric soft top, zip-out windows, installation DVD and printed instructions.
The top comes in Black (above, left), and is also available in Black Denim (above, right).

Here, at etrailer, we've worked with a lot of Bestop accessories. Today, we're going to show you a few tips and tricks we've learned along the way. Today, we're working with a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Limited with an annex Supertop. A lot of these tips will apply to any Jeep-Bestop combination. This top has a sunroof, so if your top has a sunroof, the first thing you'll need to do is come down. You may need to lower the visor and pull it out of the way. Now, we'll need to pop the latch on both sides.
On some Jeeps, you may have a channel here that you my need to undo. This one doesn't have it, so we can go ahead and lift up our top. We're going to fold it back, and what we want to do is we want to guide our fabric back out of the way as well. So that both the front and back passengers can fully enjoy the sunroof feature, you want to make sure and guide the middle section of the fabric back as well when you're folding it down. So, what we can do is we can kind of pick up on that just a little bit and help that back. Just like that.
Now, tops with sunroofs come with these hook and loop straps, and in the instructions, it's not really clear what they're used for, but what they're used for is to hold the bow system down while we've got it in the sunroof position. Just like that; that way it doesn't flap in the wind. Now, with the sunroof down, if we'd like to get some more air flow in our Jeep, we can simply remove all the windows, or we can just open up the back window. Now, it features a roll up that we can do so we don't have to completely remove it. What we'll do is we'll open up our rear hatch here, then we're going to come over to our zipper, and unzip it all the way up to right about this position, right around where the seam is. Now, both sides have a zipper, so we're going to do the same thing on this side.
And once we've got it there, we'll go ahead and disengage our tailgate bar, and what we're going to do is we're going to roll it up. Once we get it rolled all the way up, we've got these elastic straps that are buttoned on to our frame that we can loop around our rear window, just like this. This is going to allow us to store it without completely removing it, so we don't have to worry about it getting scratched. Now, for the full Jeep experience, you're going to want to remove all of the windows in order to put the top down, so we'll start right back here with the rear window. We'll bring our first zipper on the left hand side here, which is going to be the driver's side, all the way down to where it was. We'll grab our other zipper, work our way back down, and then disconnect the zipper.
Once we do that, we can go ahead and place our rear window out of the way, and then we'll undo our side windows. Start by undoing the hook and loop, bringing up the zipper, working that around, and just pulling out the channel underneath. Now, our windows are just kind of hanging out back here. A great accessory to have would be the Bestop HOSS Window Storage Duffel bag to keep them safe and free of scratches. To continue lowering our top down, well need to disengage our sails here. We'll go ahead and pull down and pull this channel out from underneath the body here. We've found it easier to fold them up into the top just like this. That way everything folds nicely when the top is finally down. So, we'll repeat the same step on this side. Now, the final step before lowering our top is we need to disengage these cable guide latches, so we'll come up here, we'll push down, we'll pull that out of the way, and then we'll do it on that side. The easiest way to lower your top is to come back here from the back. Go ahead and start pulling down on it, and when you can, you want to go ahead and guide it down just like that. Put everything in a position, that way it folds nicely. As we're coming down, we'll pull our fabric top. That way, we can make sure that it folds nicely. Just like that. Now, we don't need to worry about tucking the top into the side here. It simply needs to lay right in front of the spare tire, so in order to close the tailgate, we'll need to make sure and lift up on our top like this, and we can bring that around, and then lay that back down. After you've enjoyed the ride, getting your top back up and be pretty easy, but there are a few tips I can throw in along the way. You may need a helping hand, but you can do it by yourself. So, the first thing we'll do is open our tailgate. We come back here, I'm going to kind of angle it up, and then I'm going to help it up like this, kind of guide it up as you go. Now, we'll come over here to the side. We'll open up our door. You want to be very careful not to smash your fingers, so we'll grab it from the outside like this. Then I'm going to guide my sunroof bow assembly, this portion right here, into my cable guide right here, and then it's going to snap in place. Once we get it there, we can simply push it up like that, guiding it in place, and then it's locked into the levers. Once we've got that locked into our cable guides, we can just guide the top up and then down on to the windshield. Just like that. Here on the inside, we've found it can be difficult to latch our soft top down to our Jeep, so what we do is if we can manage to get one side hooked in, then we'll go ahead and latch it completely down, which will help bring the top toward the windshield. Then we should be able to get our other latch really easy. For our sails, we'll go ahead and bring those back around. It can be kind of difficult to pull on them down to get them latched around the channel here. What you want to do is you'll bring your hand up top here at the rear of the bow and pull down as you tuck that in. Just like that. As you can see, it's really easy. You get everything tucked in and nice. Let's go ahead and grab our rear window. The trick here is to go ahead and put in your tailgate bar into your brackets, here at the rear. So we'll do that first. The reason why we put the tailgate bar in first is because if we didn't then it would have all the weight pulling down. It would be very difficult to attach the zipper. What we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and put that zipper in place, then we can kind of guide the window up as we're working our zipper around, making sure it doesn't get caught on anything. If the tension gets kind of tight over here, pretty simple, all we have to do is come down to our bar, and we can just kind of shift it over a little bit just to help relieve some of that tension, as you can see there. With that in place, we can go ahead and tuck our channels underneath our body here, and then we can move on to our side windows. For our side window, these can be extremely difficult to put in, especially in colder weather. What we're going to do is go ahead and open up our rear door here, and let's go ahead and start our zipper. Once we get that started, we're only going to zip it up about 4 to 6 inches, right about that position. That way, we can come around here and put the front of our channel in. So, we're going to bring our channel around, we're going to tuck that in and work our way down, and then we can go ahead and finish up zipping our window up. And by doing that channel first, that makes it way easier now that it's already in rather than having to get it in after we zip it up. We'll zip that all the way down, we'll come down to our channel here, tuck that underneath, and then we'll finish it off with our hook and loop, tucking that in as we go. And then we've got it. Now, with our top back up and in place, hopefully you found these tips useful. If you have anymore questions, our friendly customer service and our expert staff'd be happy to help you out. .

etrailer support is amazing! I received the first top with the top ripped where the snaps attached to the top.
After I sent them pictures, they had me send the bad kit back, and right away I received the 2nd kit. Everything went well as you can see in the picture. One person can lower it, deliver tall objects, then raise the top back up without having to remove the top off the support rails.
This topper is not as convenient and user friendly as described. The side windows can not be fully opened for ventilation. Just the side zippers for apx 2 " air gap. To open the back window, you have to unassemble the back bar then to roll it up is obviously bad for the plastic window. Same goes for putting anything taller than 20" in the back of bed- including my dog, bar has to be removed. Not convenient. The rubber that runs along front and back of topper doesn't fit into bed of truck, so air gap and easy for rain to get in. Would not buy this again. Great idea, just needs to be more user friendly, more thought out.
It’s a nice looking topper. But I had difficulty putting it together. The top poles with holes punched in them for quick release extensions had large burrs. I had to file out each hole. Also the back window took three people pulling on it to get it stretched enough to get to the passenger side zipper. I’m hoping that after time and some hot weather it will stretch and form better and be more user friendly.
Overall I love the product and the idea, but I’m not happy with quality and finish. Needs more work to be the product it describes to be.
The pros:
Ton of space. I can put so much in bed of my truck now. Especially having a fifth wheel hitch in bed of truck, I still have the space to put other things. Great for shopping or leaving stuff in bed and not feel like it will go missing. Still have not camped with it but I look forward to.
Able to take apart alone without help like with other bed campers. Takes about 30 min but it can legit be done by one person.
Lots of light inside during day. I’m glad I got one with window but at times I wish it was without for more privacy. I’m split on that.
If you have a dog it’s great. Also, when you remove windows inside and back you just have roof to protect from sun with tons of air. Super cool.
The cons:
NOT water proof. If you have things inside that can’t get wet… in rain they will. Leaks everywhere. Not horrible but everything you don't want to get wet will be wet. Still need a water tight tote for clothes and electronics.
The walls can not support highway speed. So I had to add broom sticks across frame on indie to give windows support otherwise I feel like they will get sucked in and ripped off.
Not sealed. Dirt and dust gets in through the corners of camper. As well that vacuum issue. So the corners of windows and and frame have big gaps where LOTS of dirt gets in. Do not follow anyone on dirt road. Everything inside will have a coat of dirt.
If the canvas has no holes on stitching and seals are better it will be a great product. Also, if you have a bedliner (like rihnoliner like I do) forget getting velcro to stick to front for securing to truck. I had to buy a 1”X1” aluminium angle iron and rivet it to bed of truck. Then to that smooth surface I used the velcro tape. That’s only way. I can add picture of that when I get a minute.
I thought after it got wet a few times and was on truck for a few months the holes on roof would close up, but they did not. Holes where stitching is leaks water.
Overall I still love it, and would buy it again, but quality and build is just not there. I take mine apart once a month to pull my fifth wheel and having the ability to do that alone without help is still worth it for me.
Staff was very helpful and checked to make sure order was addressed and delivered correctly. No problems. Unit fit as advertised, seems well built, and waterproof (mostly). Zippers and windows were initially tight, as expected, but have eased up now that it is in use and mounted. I appreciated the support, quality, and ability to fold down for larger items. Was a good choice.
I purchased the canvas "topper" for my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. I wanted something that was lighter than a conventional fiberglass topper. I also wanted something that i could move or remove easily to haul taller objects in the back (Motorcycles).
Installation was recommended for 1.5 hours. I took my time and did it alone, it was almost exactly 1.5 hours. If possible I recommend 2 people to install. The canvas is tight when new and some stretching was in order.
Once installed i spent the next day driving through rain for a total of 312 miles. No issues with leakage or no extra wind noise.
Overall I would give it a 10 out of 10. It exceeded my expectations.
Lastly e trailer made the transaction very smooth and delivered it super fast and in great shape. They continue to make me a lifetime customer.
good material!!
The windows, need to be 1" or 1/2" bigger, so when you start driving the wind won't open them from the top of each window; from time to time you have to adjust the upper channels were you clip the windows cause the wind open them little by little.
If you change the idea of the upper channels for a third zipper will make it stronger against the wind.
Fantastic cover!!! wife bought it for me, I can keep the truck bed dry, and still fold it forward to use my truck as a truck. price was good, workmanship superb, easy instal, only isue I had with it was the clamps were of no use, bo I bolted the rails to the bed, no big deal. thanks I.ll get 1 for my next truck!
Great addition to my Super Duty. When I ordered the newer version was unavailable to I went with the previous model (newer model does not have side windows and a few other minor changes). I like having the side windows as it makes it easier to see when getting gear in and out of the truck bed. The topper is VERY weather proof. I have driven it through a couple torrential downpours and very little if any water made it inside. Installation was easy and putting it on and off the truck is easy (easier with 2 people just because of the bulk of the unit). This is perfect for us when travelling with our Airstream to keep items protected from the elements. It is tall enough to accommodate bikes in a homemade rack (front wheels off).
Prompt service, good product with straight forward instruction.
I bought this Toyota FJ40 with no top dint want to spin to much on a hard top but still needed a top, so I opted for a soft top, did my homework on the internet and came across ETRAILER.
I'm glad I found them, got the best deal and fast delivery. The good fit just made my truck look much better.
1970 Toyota Land Cruiser Good top, quick shipping and a fair price. Easy to install and looks good. The only drawback is the area above the doors where they meet the top leaks in the rain. (Using Bestop half-door uppers on Aqualu lower half-doors) Hate it looks so much like a Jeep but there aren't a lot to choose from.
The quality of the bestop that was on my Jeep is why I chose to get one for my truck instead of the other brand. Etrailer was great to deal with. They matched a lower price that I had found online, and got the top shipped out immediately even late on a Friday afternoon. It showed up on Wednesday, earlier than predicted. Now for the top... I expected a great fit and easy installation. The rails and bows were simple, But the bed on my Dodge is wider at the front than the rear. The top is made for the narrower width, so the rails barely sit on top of the bedrails, exposing the stake pockets on the bed, and making the whole thing look goofy. Highly disappointing! The way side panels attach is another bad design. I expected a zipper across the top, like the jeep tops, but the plastic j channel set up was a real pain to keep in place. Im thinking maybe I should've ordered the Softtopper.
Directions were terribly inaccurate, spacer needs to go in the rear clamp, set screws are a terrible fit due to burs and powder coat over the threads, rear bar had the seal installed backwards allowing water in. Spent most of the two hours deburring the holes drilled for the connectors. Material is very high quality but components are lacking. Not happy at all, should have been an hour install, I have the best top Jeep top and am very happy with it but this install was a mess. Needs improvement.
Where do I start. Let’s see. Manufacturer says place the rails 63 1/2 inches apart. My truck bed is 65 inches wide. So the rail hangs over the inside of the bed, half on the bed rails.
Every time fold down the top the center bar comes apart, no snap on the bar or on the canvas like the video shows.
J channels are worthless, they should have used snaps or full length zippers on the windows, I can’t see the j channels lasting any length of time. Slid the J channels together like the video shows. Let go and the window falls out. I spent over a hour trying to put in one window like they said, I gave up
Would I buy this again?. Absolutely not. It’s great concept but has some design flaws.
I have received a lot of compliments on the truck and top.
Little do they know it’s pretty much just for show. When it fails I will go fiberglass
Overall the product is working. It was a lot of instructions and took longer than the recommended 1 hour and half. I would recommend a two person team as well. Putting the tarp on, locking it in place and zipping it was no easy process. The written instruction was not clear and the labeling of the parts could have been simple (i.e driver side, passenger side etc.) Also I watched the video several times, the folding and open does not work that smoothly. Maybe because I have a 8 foot bed and not a 6 foot truck bed. Overall the product works and it's serving it purpose.
Cheaper than the bestop website! Super quick easy service and shipping.. Even out to Hawaii
Most is awesome. I love the windows. The one downfall is the bed rail rails are not strong at all they do bend I had to bolt the rails to the bed with 5 bolts on each side because they just kept bending up.
The instructions were wonderful and it made the installation very easy. The cover has proved itself on several of my camping trips, keeping my gear dry and clean. I should have ordered it sooner.
Very good quality. Getting the side windows installed was a challenge they wouldn’t snap down and stay, wound up sliding them in length wise which was difficult had to spray w-D 40 in the track.
From what I can tell it looks like a great product, I'm going to wait till I can get the shop warmed up before I tackle replacing it, we are in the cold months here. I also put in for the rebate hopefully I will have no issues there.
Thanks' for your help. It's a good start. I will call as I need more.
The box was in pieces ... but no parts were missing.
2019 RAM 3500 LONG BED
We live in Portland, OR, where it rains a lot for about 8 months of the year. The first few months, our Topper was great! Then Summer came and we decided to put the top down (collapse it). When the rain season began again, we put the top back up. To our surprise it was leaking horribly through the seams and through the fabric. We contacted etrailer and they said we should contact Bestop directly. Bestop said that etrailer sold us the wrong model for our truck and they would not honor the warranty. We went back to etrailer and they were happy to replace our Topper for us with one condition - we pay for return shipping. Well, it turns out, return shipping would cost us over $400! That is more than half of what we paid for our Topper. We gave up and decided it was not worth it. I DO NOT recommend this Topper or Bestop in general. eTrailer was responsive, but unfortunately their return policy makes it unfeasible to return a bulky item like this. Very frustrated with the product and warranty policy. DO NOT BUY.
I bought this cover to protect cargo from the elements. It does a good job of that. Water can get in in the corners, but it very small amount when it rains hard.
It can be installed, stowed, and setup again by one person. Initial install took a bit longer that I had expected, but stowing it and putting it back up takes maybe 10 minutes.
It is easier to deal with than hard cover, and lighter as well which is why I choose the soft top instead of hard top.
I do loose about 5-10% on my gas mileage (1-2 mpg) with it up.
While not a major problem it is a bit of pain when opening and closing the back window. It would nice if removing, and reinstalling the bar along the tailgate was easier with some sort way to latch and unlatch it.
Overall I am very happy with it.
