Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the etrailer Stabilizing Jack. Now, this one today is gonna come in a kit of one, but you can get them in different variations of kits to really just fit your needs. So without further ado, let's jump in it. If you have any experience with these jacks or if you plan on getting one of these, let us know how it's working for you and what type of situations you're using it on a daily basis, whether that's on more paved surfaces or if it's on more wet surfaces. And if it's holding up for you, let us know in a review or comment below.
But I think these are gonna be great if you're looking for something to replace one of your jacks. 'Cause what can happen a lot of times is with this style of jack, especially on the backside of your vehicle, if you're going over any really bumpy roads or some driveways, parking lots, sometimes those dips can cause your jacks to make contact with the ground, just depending on what type of situation you're in. And if that happens, you're gonna have to replace one or two of them. And that's where this is really gonna come in hand. Now, if you need to replace two of them, I would recommend checking out the variation of a kit of two.
So today, we're really just gonna be focused on three things. We're gonna go over the specs briefly, then we'll go into kinda using it, seeing how it feels. And then, finally, we'll talk about the installation at the very end. So let's go into the specs. So right now, these will have a lift of 24 inches.
So that's gonna be the amount of travel you're gonna have with this, which is gonna plenty for most trailers. Now, I will say, it is important that you're just watching out for the weight capacity too. This is gonna be rated for 2,500 per jack. So if you have two back here, that's gonna make it 5,000. And something to add to that, these are not jacks for lifting, they're not load-bearing, they're just meant for stabilizing.
So don't be trying to lift up your trailers with these jacks, just stabilizing them. Something I'd like about this is it comes with this drill bit attachment. And you can actually use this to raise and lower it. And this is gonna be a much easier and just a less of a hassle way of working with this. (drill buzzing) (jack clanking) As you can see, that really doesn't take any time whatsoever. You just gonna make sure you have a drill in hand. Today, I'm just using a pretty low 12 volt drill, so it doesn't even have that much power, and it's still able to move this. Now, when you get to those spots where you have a lot of resistance, like when it reaches the bottom. (drill buzzing) You'll eventually find that it's kinda stopping out here. And that's when I actually recommend switching over to the hand-crank variation. And what I also do like about this is it's gonna be compatible with most other jacks. And we moved over to the other side, because we have our other jack that's not an etrailer jack and it's an older one, and it's still gonna work. (jack clanking) (drill buzzing) Still feels pretty smooth, and that's also thanks to being a decent quality jack. (drill buzzing) Now, I will say, when I'm going in the reverse way. (drill buzzing) (jack clanking) Sometimes it's gonna get caught up on itself, and that's gonna be due to these older jacks typically gonna have a lot more rust on them if they've been out here for a long time. And it's also gonna be partly due to me just having a smaller drill. So keep that in mind when you are using this. It's a pretty straightforward product, but it's gonna be able to help you out with those camping situations, especially when you need a new replacement part. Now, for the installation, there's really not too much to it, and it's just gonna depend on what approach you take with it. Today, we're taking a more simple approach to it. But if you are curious about that process, just stay tuned, we'll walk you through it. (drill buzzing) (jack clanking) Let's start off the installation. There's a couple ways we can do this. I'm actually gonna do it the easier way, and that's just gonna be using our pre-existing hardware from our past jack, since this is most likely gonna be a replacement part for you. Now, if you're not gonna be replacing it or maybe the old jack you have just has a different pattern than the new etrailer one, then all you're gonna need is gonna be a 1/8 inch drill bit. You'll make that pilot hole underneath that beam there where those holes are gonna line up with the plate of the jack, making sure everything looks good. Then you're gonna make a secondary hole in that same location with the 11/32 bit. And then you'll hold this jack into place with these self-tapping screws. And then you'll be good to go. Before we start bolting down this jack into place, something I recommend doing is setting these out prior, having them in the right orientation. And what I mean by that is, the very end of it here where we're gonna have the head of that bolt, we wanna be able to access that. So if I try to install it in this orientation on your passenger's side, you won't be able to access that, and it might make things a little bit trickier. So save yourself some time, make sure you lay everything out, making sure that head of that bolt is facing out on your passenger's side and on your driver's side too. So I left my bolt in place, one of them at least. And what I'm gonna do is just line this up. I'm actually gonna line it up with one of these two center holes. I think that's gonna give us the most stability from this. I'm gonna just push it on. (jack clanking) And I'm gonna hold it in place just like that. And we'll just make sure we put the other one in place too, but I'm just gonna start off installing one of these. I'm gonna put a flat washer on there and a split washer. A lot of times, if you put them on at an angle, they'll hold themselves in place. Be careful though, 'cause if you just move a little bit, it'll typically just fall off. I'll throw that nut on there. Once that's about hand tight or it starts spinning on you, then we're gonna grab a socket and a wrench. We're gonna put that wrench up top. Socket underneath. And something else I recommend too is once you're getting it tightened down, don't tighten them down all the way. Put that second bolt into place, so it's not switching around on you too much, you have everything lined up. And once they're both in place, then you can fully tighten everything down. And try to make sure you get this really snug. And once you have both of these bolts tightened down, that'll pretty much do it for our look at the installation and some of the features of the etrailer Stabilizing Jacks. I'm Matt, thanks for watching.

Haven’t received them yet, but it’s hard to find 7500 pound scissor jets must go up to 5000. I will review once I’ve used them
Received the item today. Haven’t installed it yet. The order & delivery time was the quickest I’ve experienced in years. Thank you!
They arrived on time and installed without any problems, they are a good heavy duty scissors jack. Much better than the original scissor jacks.
I ordered this as a replacement jack for my 2024 Puma travel trailer. It aligned perfectly on the trailer and actually is more heavy duty than what originally came on the camper. I would buy this again if/when I need to replace the others!!
Just exactly what we needed to replace a damaged stabilizer on our Imagine xls 19RLE.

That's great to hear that you didn't have to do any modifications to mount the jacks, Ray. Thanks for sharing your pics too! They look great.
Excellent scissor jacks to replace the old ones.
Replaced an old damaged jack with this one. Works perfectly and lowers and retracts very easily.
Amazing service
