Now, this is an officially licensed Chevrolet Equinox hitch cover. Now, hitch covers look cool but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. Basically, they'll slide into your hitch receiver when it's not being used to keep out any dirt and prevent any erosion. This one has a nice rotary engraved Chevrolet Equinox emblem, with a durable UV resistant black epoxy fill. Chrome plated solid brass faceplate will add style to your vehicle.
And the stainless steel base will resist rust and corrosion.If you notice, it does come with the three different fitness of foam gaskets to eliminate any rattle. You just choose the one that you need to work correctly and slide it right on there. And you just slide this into your hitch receiver opening. And then it includes the locking stainless steel bolt that'll secure your cover to your hitch. After you just slide this in, line the hole up, you run this through your hitch to the other side.
Then you go ahead and put them both in just like that. And it comes with two triangular designed wrenches that are designed just to fit this. So, if you don't have this style, it's hard to get this bolt off. And you just put that one on each side and go ahead and tighten it down and it'll hold it into place.Now, again, the application for this is for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. The weight on this is about two pounds, and the base length from here to here is about three and a half inches.
