Hitch covers are fun to show off and they look cool, but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. Your University of Nevada hitch cover helps to keep dirt out of the receiver and deters rust, making it easier to install ball mounts and other hitch accessories the next time you need them.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Nevada Wolfpack two-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride, it's going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tip of your hitch. The hitch cover's made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black power coat finish, which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here at the front we're going to have a chrome plated metal emblem. It's got a nice rust-proof and fade-proof design. The product is American made.
Here on the backside it's going to feature a foam gasket that goes around the shank or the tube that slides into the receiver tube of the hitch. That foam gasket's going to do a great job at reducing rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. To get it fully installed it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, so if you're in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pinholes on the hitch cover will accept the standard 5/8-inch diameter pin.
A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Here at the hitch cover face it's going to give us an overall width measurement of about five inches, with an overall height measurement of about 3 1/2 inches. The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole, it's going to be pretty close to 2 1/2 inches. Now this is designed for a two-inch by two-inch hitch. Very simple installation. All you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube, line up your pinholes, and secure with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Nevada Wolfpack two-inch hitch cover from AMG.
