Today we're going to be taking a look at part number AMG100390. This is the Ohio State University chrome logo two-inch hitch cover from AMG. This hitch cover is going to allow you to represent your school spirit. It's going to add a clean finish look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a black powder coat finish. It's going to offer a great rust and corrosion protection.
We're going to have a chrome plated metal emblem right here on the front. That's going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design. It is American made. Here on the backside we're going to have a foam gasket. This is going to help prevent rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. Pretty simple installation.
You just slide this piece into your two-inch by two-inch hitch. Push it in until you get your pin holes to line up with each other. Then you'll need to secure it with the hitch pin and clip, or hitch pin and lock. Those items are sold separately, but you can find those right here at etrailer.com. Here at the shank you can see that the pin hole is elongated. On your two-inch hitch you're going to find that the pin hole diameter will accept a standard five-eighth-inch pin, so when choosing the hitch pin and clip, or hitch pin and lock, five-eighth-inch diameter will work just fine with this cover. A few measurements to go over with you real quick.
The hitch face, or the hitch cover face, is going to give us a width of about five inches. It's going to give us a height of about three and a half inches. If we take a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the face plate, that's going to give us a measurement of about two and five-eighths of an inch. Again this is designed for your two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch. That's going to do it for today's look at part number AMG100390.
