Features to know about

Keeps the Roof Clear for Solar and Storage: Hidden Underbunk Design

When your roof is already packed with solar panels or gear, this underbunk setup keeps things simple. The system tucks away under a bed or bench instead of taking up rooftop space, giving you full cooling and heating performance without changing the height or look of your rig. With 10,000 Btu of output and ducted airflow, it pushes air exactly where you want it so every corner feels comfortable.

Quiet Comfort in Tight Spaces: Ducted 10,000 Btu Heat Pump

Small living areas heat up fast, but this 10,000 Btu ducted system cools them back down without a blast of noise. It’s built for steady operation, running on R-32 refrigerant for reliable performance with a lower environmental impact. When mornings feel chilly, the built-in heat pump helps take the edge off, so your space feels more comfortable without immediately reaching for a separate heater.

Ready to Power Up Safely: 115V Plug-and-Play Connection

This unit runs on a standard 115V AC / 60 Hz supply and pulls about 8 amps during cooling and up to 9.8 amps at full load. The high-voltage cord comes with an LCDI plug for safe connection, so you can plug in and go without wiring guesswork. It’s also compatible with a soft-start module like the SoftStartRV # SSR54FR if you want smoother generator or inverter operation when power is tight.

Simple Setup and Everyday Use: Included Hardware and Thermostat Control

Everything you need to get started comes in the box—return air grille, install template, and manual—so setup stays straightforward. Once installed, it connects to a low-voltage wall thermostat (sold separately) for easy temperature control. At just 29-11/16" long x 15-11/16" wide x 11-5/16" tall, it fits neatly out of sight while delivering year-round comfort that feels effortless every time you flip it on.

  • Does Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC Come With Tubes
Hi Angela; you will run air ducting (not included) off of the openings on the side of the Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC # CM62RR. I recommend getting the All-In-One kit # CM82RR which includes all of the accessories you need for installation. The unit will install in the floor and does require some cutouts. I went ahead and attached some pictures below from the installation instructions for your reference. Where will you be installing the AC?

  • How Does Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC Vent Heat
Hey Ron, great question! The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC # CM82RR vents the heat through the floor. Installation requires creating openings in the floor for air flow, heat rejection, and also for the drain pipes. See the attached photo. The # CM62RR you were looking at is just the AC unit. The # CM82RR comes with everything you need for installation. What rig will you be installing this in?

  • Startup Watts, Soft-Start Compatibility, and Heating Amps for the 2241A10N Coleman-Mach Unit
Hello David, Thanks for reaching out. The Coleman-Mach under-bunk A/C and heat pump # CM62RR typically pulls about 8 amps during normal cooling and up to 9.8 amps at maximum load when it’s running. That translates to roughly 900–1,150 watts of continuous power draw. Like most RV air conditioners, it doesn’t list an official “locked-rotor” (inrush) current, but a realistic rule of thumb is that the compressor will momentarily pull 2–3 times its running current when it starts. For this...

  • What Do I Need to Direct Hot Air Out of The RV With the Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC
Hey Ron! Great question. The Coleman-Mach Underbunk AC # CM62RR is just the main unit, so it won’t include the ducting or venting components needed to move the air. To actually route the hot air out and direct the cold air where you want it, you’ll need to pair it with the accessory kit # CM72RR. That kit includes the ducting and vents that handle both the intake and exhaust, so everything is properly routed outside and into the living space where needed. If you’d rather not piece it...

  • Length of Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC Power Cord
Hey David! The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC # CM62RR power cord is 3' long. For a new installation, I recommend getting the # CM82RR which includes the accessory kit. What rig are you working on?

  • Recommended Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC All-In-One Kit w/ Heat Pump
Hey Dennis. The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC All-In-One Kit w/ Heat Pump item # CM82RR comes with everything you'll need to get the AC set up and running. The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC w/ Heat Pump item # CM62RR is just the AC with the heat pump. It does not come with any of the tubing, connectors, the thermostat, or the wireless remote. I'm not sure why the kit's so much more expensive right now (06/28/26). You can purchase the Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Ducted item...

  • What is the Difference Between the CM62RR, CM72RR, and CM82RR?
Hi Paul, The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC All-In-One Kit w/Heat Pump part # CM82RR is a kit we offer of the underbunk air conditioner unit and the underbunk accessory kit. So, it is a combination of the CM72RR and the CM62RR together. The Coleman-Mach Underbunk RV AC Accessory Kit part # CM72RR is the accessory kit only and can be purchased separately to add a thermostat, remote, ducting, and vents to a Coleman-Mach Underbunk AC that could have been bought as a stand-alone unit. The...
