Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Tongue Lock - Surround Lock - e85GV

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're looking at our etrailer lock set. It's for a two and a 2-1/2-inch hitch receiver lock, and it fits a 1-7/8 or 2-inch coupler as well. Now with this kit, you're gonna have an all-in-one system. You're gonna need to make sure that your coupler has a flat bottom lip. 'Cause as you can see, you have a groove in here and that's what it's designed to do.

So you get a pair of keys, they're key to like, Simply insert the key in here. And from there, once it's unlocked, that pin will raise up or down. Once you slide it over the coupler, push it up, give that lock about a 90 degree turn, and now it's locked. On the hitch pin one, it's the exact opposite. All you gotta do is pull open this rubber weather protective cover, insert the key.

And then with this one, the key kind of acts like a tool. You just simply spin it or if you can unspin the other side, it just basically on threads, much like a bolt and a nut. And that's how you get this one open. And then slide it back through whenever you're ready to lock it up onto your hitch and it threads right back on with ease. And then get a little bit of wiggle, it'll come out.

And then of course, you can just put your protective dust cap back in place. Now the other cool thing about this, besides the fact it's made here in America, this is all chrome with a silver powder coat over the top. So it's really sturdy, it's very, very resistant to corrosion and rust. As you can see, we give you a nice, hard etrailer plastic container case here. And everything inside is specially molded to fit these locks and hold everything nice and secure in place.

(plastic container clacking) And now you have a small case, you can just toss behind a seat, maybe in a toolbox, a compartment, storage area, trunk area, something like that. And it's really easy to find later on, really easy to use and those kind of things. Now, obviously, it does have a place in there for the keys if you wanna keep 'em on your key ring, by all means, go ahead and do that. We don't have to worry about losing that.
