Features to know about

Keeps Every Trailer Level and Steady: 4" Drop / 5" Rise Adjustability

Matching trailer height makes a big difference in how stable your rig feels on the road. This adjustable mount gives you up to a 4" drop or 5" rise, with 1" height steps, so you can dial in a level setup for whatever you’re towing. Once you’ve got the height right, lock it down with the included dual pins and hit the road knowing it’ll stay put.

Built to Tow Heavy: 18,500 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re pulling serious weight, strength matters most. The solid block construction and aircraft-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum shank handle up to 18,500 lbs gross towing weight on the 2-5/16" ball and 8,000 lbs on the 2" ball. It’s a setup that doesn’t flinch when you load up a large trailer, camper, or boat.

Switches Ball Sizes Fast: Dual 2" and 2-5/16" Combo Balls

If you swap between trailers with different coupler sizes, this setup keeps it simple. The chrome-plated double-sided platform carries both the 2" and 2-5/16" balls, so changing sizes takes seconds—just pull the pins, flip the platform, and reinsert. No separate balls to track or tools to dig out.

Stays Clean and Solid: Black Cerakote Finish and Chrome Balls

Road grime and salt can chew through cheap finishes fast. The black Cerakote coating on this mount resists wear, chemicals, and corrosion while shrugging off chips from rocks or debris. The chrome-plated steel balls add their own layer of rust resistance, so you get a hitch that keeps looking sharp after miles of tough use.

Locks In Tight: Keyed-Alike Hitch and Dual Pins

Security and convenience come standard here. The hitch receiver lock secures the shank to your receiver, while the locking dual pins keep the platform fixed at your chosen height. Everything’s keyed alike with four included keys, so you’ve got one lock system that protects your entire setup.

Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Trailer Hitch Ball Mount - 180 Hitch 2 Ball Mount 2-1/2 Inch Cerakote - WS22VR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you a two inch and a 2 5/16 inch double sided, chrome plated steel tow ball that's going to make switching tow ball sizes very easy for you so you can tow different types of trailers, whether you're towing a smaller utility trailer, or a camper, or a boat trailer. This dual functionality is going to help eliminate that need for having multiple hitches. Now, this also is going to give you a maximum drop, when you have the shank in this orientation, of four inches.

And then when you flip that shank over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of five inches with an incremental height adjustment of one inch. So this is going to give you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. So when you're towing with the 2 5/16 inch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds, with the two inch ball, 8,000 pounds. And then this is going to give you a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. Taking a closer look here, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability.

This really attractive, nice, black Cerakote finish is a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look good as it's mounted on the back of your vehicle, but if you tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to help protect this hitch while it stays looking good and working properly for many years to come. This also features this dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very simple. So this is a great theft deterrent that we have built into this. So I'm gonna take one of the keys here, and I'm just going to insert it into the lock, give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily slide this lock out.

I'm gonna go ahead and put that key back in the locked position and remove it. I wanted to point out while I have this slider lock out, our dual pins here are aluminum along with the housing, and then the lock is plated steel, so this is going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. But notice just how easily the ball platform is going to slide up and down here. It's going to be no problem whatsoever to adjust the height. And then I'm just going to swap out to the two inch ball, and let me turn this or rotate this, and then I'm just going to line up the holes here.

And notice I don't have the key in our slider lock, but I'm just gonna push that firmly and now I'm locked into place. So that's how easy this is going to be to adjust the height, to adjust the ball size. And then I'm just gonna replace the rubber cap here to protect that keyway there, just like that. Now, also a really great added benefit that comes with this is going to be this hitch pin lock. We do have a cap here that's going to protect that keyway, and you're gonna get four keys here. Everything is keyed alike, so one key is going to be able to operate both of these locks here and then you'll have three extra keys there. But I also wanted to show you with this hitch pin lock, you're not gonna need the key in this as well to lock it back up. So I just put that back into the locked position, press firmly, and then you're going to be secure, ready to go down the road. So really a great way, a great option that's included in this rather, to help deter theft, so you're going to be secured here with the ball platform and then secured on the back of your vehicle. Let me give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of our hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting at about 8 1/2 inches. Moving to the center of our second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of our second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This is SAE J684 certified and VESC regulation V-5 compliant. So if you are looking for a hitch that's going to be really a great long-term investment, that's going to give you versatility, safety, durability, and definitely ease of use, this hitch is going to really be an excellent option for you to consider. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Missing parts and anti raddle would not fit my truck

Works like a charm exactly what I needed for my 2500 ZR2 Chevy Silverado. Having everything keto like is really convenient

This Cerakote finished W/S hitch is made in the USA and worth the extra cost IMO; recommend getting either the 6in or the 8in Drop for flexibility. 2200lb hitch and 18.5K LB tow rating is plenty for my RAM, 6.7 Cummins, 3/4 ton with 2.5inch receiver. I highly recommend this hitch.

Nice hitch, solid. Keys for pin and lock are keyed the same, so thats cool. 10" drop for my 2026 2500hd Silverado. Was probably more then I needed, 8" would have been close.

One thing with the 10" drop. The bottom is about even with the duel ball set up anyway, looks nice when stowed(reversed).

I recently used the Weigh Safe Cerakote Coated 180 Hitch with a 6" drop on a 1,300-mile trip, and it was fantastic. It handled everything—road grime, snow, salt, and mud—without ever looking dull or dingy.

The dual-ball design makes switching between trailers super easy, and the adjustable drop works perfectly to keep everything level. It was simple to install and felt solid and secure the whole trip. The locking pins kept everything safely attached to my truck, no worries about someone walking away with it. If you need a tough, reliable hitch that looks great and gets the job done, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
