Hey everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we are taking a look at the rear view safety monitor mount for heavy duty applications. And this is gonna be an excellent way to get ourselves mounting our backup camera almost any flat surface available to us. So, can be great for those fifth wheels, motor homes, RVs. Specifically, can be great for making sure that we have a nice easy way of seeing behind us.
It is gonna be made of a solid metal plate that works in conjunction with our rotating assembly to give us a very adaptive mounting fixture. Let's gonna go ahead and allow us to get a huge range of motion for our backup camera, if need be. So you guys can see how easy this is to work. Little front assembly here. Just has a little hand knob at the front.
And to take that off, we'll actually open up this entire assembly, which as you guys can see, you can really get a lot degrees of revolution. So I have my plate set. You guys can see I can go ahead, and get that 180 motion. That entire structure can actually get turned around there. And all that is, is simply two little metal hinges that are getting pulled in place with this little hand knob, and, of course, a rotating ball fixture for our camera mount there, allows us to get those great little degrees of rotation for ourselves.
Well, I'm gonna go ahead and set ourselves to where our length is gonna be our longest. So we can go ahead and start bringing down some dimensions just here in a little bit. Now, it does have a couple of ways of being mounted on here. First, we do have it, an included adhesive strip that's gonna go ahead and allow us to stick our bracket onto almost any mounting point. Or it also has four holes, for four 3/16" screws.
So, those are sold separately. So, but that can be an excellent way of getting these mounted. Now, I haven't actually gotten a chance to test this guy out in any application. But it is 3M, so it should be holding quite well for ourselves. And of course, it always can be nice to go ahead and double check that. Pick the mounting screws. But your best option, for a nice secure fit. Well, let's go ahead and start taking some dimensions for ourselves here. Our overall length here, when near, you are in our full on position here with that ball pointed out, to give us our maximum height there. We are looking to be right at . Let's go ahead and give you guys a little bit of better look there. And get that guy set, like so. It's gonna be putting us at 6 and 1/4". Our overall height when our ball is brought up, and we're fixed properly. Is gonna be putting us right at 3 and 5/8" for ourselves. Our width on our plate is gonna put us right at 2 and 1/4". While the length of the bracket itself is gonna be sitting right at 4". Now that center-on-center hole spacing can be important for mounting. To give us an idea here, we're gonna go ahead and see from center-on-center here, right to that other side, is putting us at 2 and 1/8". And for our closer sets, we are looking center-on-center, to be right at 1 and 5/8" for ourselves. So hopefully my shirt's not messing you guys up too much. Here gives you guys a better look on that center spacing. Well guys again, this can be a great little solution to go ahead and get ourselves mounted on the back of our vehicle. Great little way of making sure that we know where we're going. Well guys, I think that that about does it for our look at the rear view safety monitor mount for heavy duty applications. Here at etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. Thank you for watching..
