Cold weather can make construction, farm, and off-road engines harder to start. This 1,500-watt tank heater circulates warmed coolant through the engine naturally, helping make cold starts easier while protecting against overheating.
A piece of construction equipment parked outside, an off-road machine left in an unheated shed, or a tractor waiting for the next job can all be harder to start after a freezing night. This 1,500-watt Series 8000 heater warms the engine coolant before startup, helping take some of the strain out of cold starts. It's intended for light-duty applications in construction, agriculture, and off-road equipment with a compatible cooling-system layout.
This tank heater works by thermosiphon circulation, not a mechanical pump. Cooler coolant enters the lower connection, warms inside the heater, and rises through the upper outlet toward the engine. The built-in check valve supports different plumbing configurations, but the heater still needs a low mounting position, an upward outlet path, and coolant lines free of trapped air to move heat properly.
The temperature-sensing safety thermostat measures heat at the heating element. It switches the heater off at 185°F (85°C) and back on as the element cools to 147°F (64°C), protecting the heater from overheating. These are element-temperature protection points, not a promise that coolant throughout the engine will stay between those temperatures.
The cylindrical, die-cast aluminum body and included universal mounting strap give you flexibility when adding the heater to new or existing equipment. Both coolant connections take 5/8" hose. Plan for a low installation position and a steadily rising outlet hose before choosing the mounting spot. The top-mounted, detachable power cord connection is positioned to help protect it from road debris and chemicals, and compatible replacement cords are available if needed.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at the Zerostart Series 8000 Circulation Tank Heater. Now, when the winter mornings bite, the last thing you want is an engine that's going to fight back. This 1,500-watt circulating heater is going to take the struggle out of cold starts by keeping your coolant warm and moving. So your rig is going to fire right up no matter how low the temperature drops. So instead of thick oil and sluggish diesel, you're going to get smooth fluid operation that's going to protect your starter and engine from unnecessary wear.
So this is built for light-duty engines in agriculture, construction, and off-road equipment. This heater is going to give you dependable warmth in even the toughest conditions. Its cylindrical design and universal mounting strap is going to make it really easy to install, whether you're outfitting new equipment or you're upgrading an older setup. The built-in check valve is going to ensure that the coolant stays in place when the heater is off so your system is ready to go at dawn's first light. So with the top-mounted power connection, this cord is going to stay safely out of the path of road debris, salt, and chemicals.
And the cord is detachable, so that's going to make routing this simple and secure. Inside, a temperature sensing thermostat's going to automatically maintain the coolant between 147 degrees and 185 degrees Fahrenheit, giving you steady controlled heat without the risk of overheating. So at 120 volts and 1,500 watts drawing 12.5 amps through this standard grounded household plug, it's going to be straightforward as it is effective, and it's going to be CSA approved, so built for reliability. This circulating heater is going to keep your engine and workday running smoothly all winter long. Giving you some measurements here, looking at the overall height, looks like we're sitting a little over seven inches tall.
