Once it's locked in place, the coupler stays blocked and your trailer can't be towed away.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this ICON gooseneck lock for your 2 5/16-inch B&W Defender coupler. So this is designed specifically for that 2 5/16-inch B&W Defender locking gooseneck coupler. So this is not a one-size-fits-all product. This is made specifically for that coupler. And on your screen, I'm also popping up some images there showing you this lock in action on that coupler.
So what makes this stand out is how focused this is on theft protection. This shape includes a patented radial fin design, which basically makes this a whole lot harder for someone to cut, drill, or pry off, even with power tools. This is built from hardened cast steel, so it's very tough and durable, not something that can be easily broken or tampered with. The lock itself uses high-security disk detainer mechanism, so it's going to be more resistant to picking compared to standard locks. So I'm taking this bolt out here from the bottom, and then that's going to show or expose the keyway there.
You're gonna get four keys. Everything's keyed alike. And when I take one of these keys, stick it in the keyway, and then give it a turn, then if you notice here, the bolt at the top, now I can bring that down. This is gonna be flush. And then I'm just gonna be able to slide that over the coupler.
Once I have it in the coupler, I'll push that bolt or lock back up and then secure it with the key, remove it, and then I'll just replace this. (metal clanging) And then I'll be locked into position, just like that. So this is gonna be very easy. The lock body's gonna be sealed, so you're not gonna have to worry about moisture or debris getting in there. And that's going to allow this to continue to be reliable over time, especially if your trailer is exposed to the elements quite a bit.
Now, this is gonna be very easy, very straightforward to use. Like I said, this is just going to slide right over that coupler and lock it in place. It's gonna give you that solid layer of protection without being complicated to install. So again, you're gonna get four keys. Very robust design.
