Video Transcript for Taylor Made Marine Gas Strut for Boat Hatches Feature Review

Today we're going to take a look at a tailor made seven and a half inch long steel gas shock for boat hatches. Now this gas shock is designed to replace a worn out or damaged shock on your boats hatch lid or compartment door. It's designed to extend, to ease lifting your hatch lid. And its compresses to gently close your hatch without slamming. This has a nice coated and kneeled steel rod which provides corrosion resistance. So it is perfect for high saltwater areas.

Does easily install in minutes. No special tools required. When installing this, you would want to make sure this inner rod is facing down. And they do always recommend to replace your gas shocks in pairs. The connection type on this as it fits on a 10 millimeter ball socket. And when you go to install, well first what you want to do is to remove your old one.

What you'll do is get a small flat tip screwdriver. And what you'll do is stick it up under the clip right here. Lift, pop that clip up and that'll remove it from the ball. And you'll do the same on this end. And then to install the new one, just go ahead and pop the clip up.

Push it onto the ball, and then push the clip down and that'll secure it into place. So it's very easy installation. The length on this, which is measured from the center of this ball socket to the center if this one. It's going to be right at seven and a half inches. And the output for some of this shock is 20 pounds.

But that should do it for the review on the tailor made seven and a half inch long steel gas shock for boat catches.
