Video Transcript for Compatible? Yes! The WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mat Fits a 2014 Ram 3500

Today on our 2014 Ram 3500, we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech front floor mats in black, part number WT444771. Also available in gray, part number WT464771, and in tan, part number WT454771. What I like most about this floor mat is definitely going to be the center hump coverage, because in case anything we're to spill there, like a drink, it's going to be covered and it's going to run own and collect into the floor mat on either side. It overall just gives much better coverage and contouring than the factory mats. Here on the driver's side of our Ram, you can see with the factory floor mat installed, it does give us decent coverage, but there's a lot that's unexposed and with as much as collected here, you can see how much has gotten off of the floor mat to the carpet around it. With the factory floor mat you can see that this entire center hump area on the trucks with the bench seats is exposed, so that's not protected at all. Now, let's remove our factory floor mat and install our new one. Right off the bat here you can see how much better coverage we really have with this floor mat. Starting over here with the threshold of the door, we've got this nice little channel that's got a raised lip here on the outside.

That's going to help to collect and to make sure that nothing gets off of this floor mat and onto the carpet underneath. It contours very nicely to the kick panel here, and up around, up under the dash, and underneath the gas and brake pedals, which is coverage that the factory floor mat isn't going to give us. Then, it comes along the front of the seat tracks and contours very nicely to give you great protection. It also has cutouts so the factory hooks that are in the floor are still going to be used to help make sure that this floor mat stays in place and doesn't shift at all. It features these channels and ridges that are going to help keep anything that collects on this floor mat, like dirt, debris, or some sort of spill, it's going to help control it so that it can't move around too much and risk splashing off the side of the floor mat onto the carpet. It's also going to help keep the driver's feet up off of whatever collects. Then, it contours along the center console, but not only does it go along the base of the center console, but it connects side to side and goes up over the hump, which is going to be a big difference between this and the factory floor mats. You can see that this mat gives us coverage from the storage area all the way up to the dash. Over here on the passenger side you can see we've got all those same great features, that it contours nicely all the way around and gives us that great coverage. In order to clean this floor mat, you simply remove it from the vehicle and you can clean it with soap and water, or you can pick up the WeatherTech cleaner and protector kit, part number WT8LTC36K and air or towel dry them.
