Keep the interior of your vehicle clean with this functional, custom floor mat. Rear liner has a rigid plastic core for durability, and its unique, rubberized outer shell grips carpeting while it channels and traps water and debris.
Features:
WeatherTech floor liners accurately and completely line the interior carpet of your vehicle, providing "absolute interior protection" for your car, truck, minivan or SUV. Digital laser measurements of the interior surfaces offer a consistently perfect fit! The patent-pending, High-Density Tri-Extruded (HDTE) material features a rigid core for strength and produces surface friction with the carpet for better grip. Advanced surfacing creates channels that carry fluids and debris to a lower reservoir, which has more channeling to help minimize fluid movement while you are driving. Hi, Matt with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our WeatherTech auto floor mats for the second row, in our 2021 Ford Explorer. Now this is gonna be a great option for ya if you have a lotta guests coming in and out of your car, whether they are going on sports, or you have kids spilling drinks. This is gonna help catch a lot of the messes and debris. So we're gonna get a really good fit 'cause this is gonna contour really nicely with the inside of our car. And it's really nice too that we got the center portion covered, so you don't have to worry about anything falling in between the two covers.
And we're gonna have some pretty high side walls, so if anything does fall between the cracks, this is probably gonna catch a majority of that. And then we're gonna have these raised areas through here, creating these channels in between. That's gonna be nice for when your feet are resting down here. It's gonna keep your feet raising above any of that grime. As for the material, that's gonna be made from a high-density material, making it pretty durable and strong.
But you can still bend it to get out of here. It's still gonna be a little bit of a pain to get out of here, especially if you do have a lotta debris on here. You might spill some of it when you do get it taken out. But cleaning it is still pretty straightforward, if you get any scuffs like this, you can just wipe it off with your hands. Or if you have a wet paper towel or a wash cloth, you can take it off that way.
And, like I said earlier, if you do have a lotta debris in here, you can just pick up the entire mat, take it out, dump it, wash it, and put it right back in here. Overall, this is gonna be a great option for ya if you're looking at keeping your Explorer clean, whether you ever have a lotta friends coming in with dirty boots or shoes, or you have kids making messes. Definitely not the best place for them to be floppy, Kelly. I put WeatherTech floor mats in my Silverado quite a few years ago, though a different style, and it did take a little bit for them to form themselves to fit perfectly. We get pretty hot in the summer hear in Missouri, so it wasn't too bad. Being winter now, it might take a little longer, but I think you will be happy with them in the long run. I definitely am with mine! ^___^ Are these just to get nicer ones than the factory mats or are you going to be getting muddy often? The factory ones in my Silverado were absolutely terrible so it was a huge upgrade for me.

Thanks for sharing the photo, that really helps. These are custom-fit mats, but with motorhomes like the Freedom Elite, there can be slight differences depending on the floor layout or trim level. Even though they’re listed to fit multiple models, Thor sometimes makes small changes around the passenger side footwell that can affect how that corner sits. What you’re seeing on that edge is usually from the mat not quite matching the contour of that specific floor shape. Sometimes letting the mat sit in the sun or a warm area can help it relax and settle a bit better, but if it’s still not lining up after that, it may just be a variation in that particular model. If you can share your exact Freedom Elite model, we can double check fitment and see if there’s a better option or confirm if that’s expected for your setup.

I had contacted WeatherTech. Can you please confirm if you have removed the carpeted floormats prior to installing them these floor mats?

The fit isn’t the best. And wish I had gotten the individual ones vs the one that covers the entire front floor. Outside of that they work great. They are dirty from snow and mud but they clean up great.

Its been about a year and the mat is doing its job as far as keeping the carpet looking new. My only complaint is the mat will not stay in place. It will slide very easy. Weather Tech sent some Velcro but it doesnt help in the movement. I have several strips on the underneath of the mat. This is all that Weather Tech offered as a fix. Dont know if I would purchase them again or not.
