Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.
And of course, there are a ton of other parts and accessories that will make towing your vehicle easy. Feel free to shop around our site or drop us a line if you have any questions. And once you get all set up, don't forget to send us a review full of pictures so we can see your rig out on the open road!

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Blue Ox easy light tow bar wiring kit for the Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2014 Chevrolet Suburban Tahoe and GMC Yukon trucks that have the factory five pin plug. Now basically when you're towing a vehicle behind your motor home, you're gonna need a way to get the tail brake and turn signals from that RV to the vehicle to be safe and legal. This kit here will plug into your factory connectors on your vehicle to connect the electrical signals from the motor home to the vehicle.
And we mentioned this kit is to fit the factory five pin plugs and I basically wanted to show you what we're talking about. When you go to connect these connectors, these are gonna connect behind your taillights at the rear of the vehicle and the one with the five pin plug you can tell by when you disconnect them on your tail lights. You'll notice there's five pins right here. So this is for the five pin plug. Now they also, the same vehicles do make it with a four pin plug and a six pin plug.
If you do have the four pin plug, you do want to use the wiring kit that's part number BLU23HR. And if your vehicle uses the six pin plug, you want to use the BLU35HR, both those kits we do sell separately on our website. And as we mentioned, this kit is for the five pin plug. Now this is a complete plug and play option for your vehicle. So the installation of this kit's gonna be quick and easy and it is a complete kit.
It does include all the hardware and installation components you'll need, including detailed instructions. A few of the components it's gonna have is this converter box that has the connectors and the four-way wiring. And this four-way wiring is gonna run to the front of your vehicle. And when you get to the front of the vehicle, instead of having this four-way just hanging there, they do include this four-way flat mounting bracket with the hardware to install it. And this bracket'll let you be able to put your four-way in there and hold it into place.
Also, they include this four-way cover if you wanna put on there. And that's nice to have because when you're not plugged into a the vehicle or the RV, you can actually put this over the terminals to protect them from any damage or from the elements. Also comes with a a packet here of terminal grease that you'll put on all your electrical connection. Some cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring and they even use include a grounding screw because if you look on your four-way, there's a white wire with an islet that has to connect to a good clean ground. If there's not one nearby you can use the included grounding screw. Now again, it's very easy to install. What you'll do is go to the rear of your vehicle and then you'll start on the driver's side. And you'll take this connector here that has the yellow wire in it, 'cause that's for the driver's side. And you'll connect this behind the tail lights. And then you'll take this other connector over here that has a length of wire with the green wire in it. That's for your passenger side. When you get over, you'll run this over to the passenger side and same way you'll plug this in behind the tail lights. Once these are all connected, you'll take your length four-way wire, run that all the way to the front. When you get to the front, you wanna again attach the four-way to the bracket, ground your white wire using the included grounding screw if you need to. Again, put this terminal grease on all your electrical connections. Now always remember if you have any questions regarding this product or any of our products, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone chat or email or if you've purchased any product from us, please send us pictures of it being used in your application 'cause we'd love to see how that product's working out for you.
