Video Transcript for Blazer Low Profile Magnetic Mount Warning Beacon Review

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Blazer low-profile emergency LED light. This is gonna be an amber light that attaches to the roof of your vehicle with a large magnet, plugs into 12 volt power on your vehicle, and gives you a variety of different lighting functions in this amber LED, perfect for a service or a work truck, maybe a tow vehicle, whatever you might need to just alert pedestrians and other drivers of what you're doing if you're parked on the side of the road performing maintenance. Let's check it out. Before we get too far into things, I do wanna point out that on camera, the light might not look very impressive.

That's just one of the things that we've had trouble with on camera today is getting this light to really look like it does in person because there's pretty much no clouds in the sky. It's a bright summer day, so we're working against a lot of things, and in person, the light does look really good. From a distance, you can tell what it's doing, and it definitely draws attention to the vehicle. So if things on camera don't look quite as impressive or it's hard to see, just know that it's probably because of the sun's reflection and things like that that are out of our control. But the light does look good, and it is very visible.

So like we mentioned before, the magnet on the bottom here is what holds everything in place. It's a pretty strong magnet, and there is a protective piece of tape or sticker over that, so it doesn't have any metal on metal contact with the roof. If that does come off over time or peel up, you can just put some electrical tape over it, and I think it'd do the exact same thing. And even though it's a more low-profile light, it is going to be quite large. So I think for your bigger trucks, if you set it towards the end of the cab and have it visible from the rear, it's gonna be perfectly fine, but you might find that this is a better fit for some of the smaller trucks just because that shorter height is gonna be easier to see on a shorter roof, but regardless of how you use it, it's going to mount up the same way with that magnet and be attached to a 12 foot cable that's coiled up that you can run through your door and into your cab to wherever you've got your 12 volt power.

Inside we can see that point where it plugs into 12 volt power, and on the outside, we've got two switches, one to control our power, just turning it on or off. That's the one with the red LED on it, which is pretty dim, kind of hard to see honestly, but at night I think that would help with visibility for sure. And the switch to the right of that is going to be the one that controls all of our different modes. So when I press it, it'll just flip right back, and that's going to cycle through the different patterns and strobing functions. So looking at the different functions, we start off with a solid amber light.

So if you don't need any flashing lights, you just need something that's on, this'll do the trick. But as I cycle through, there are gonna be eight different patterns in total, and quite honestly, a lot of them are very similar, some of the ones that maybe spin around the light, the other one will just be spinning in reverse. So, both of those I think will be functional for the same purpose. Really, this is just to help you find a light or a pattern that works better for your situation, whether you be doing some maintenance on utilities in the neighborhood or on the side of the road towing a car or going around at night with a snowplow. Regardless of what you're doing, these functions are gonna help you pick between them and just find the right one for the situation. The light has a polycarbonate lens on the outside, which is gonna be impact-resistant and an IP67 rating. So if you find yourself in rainy or dusty environments, you can trust that you're not gonna have any intrusion on the light itself. It'll be good and weather-resistant, keeping this operational. And since the cord is thin enough that you can shut your door around, you can trust that they're not gonna have any water intrusion on your vehicle either. So when you're using it, even though this is a more temporary solution, one that can easily be removed when it's not in use, it is going to work well with your vehicle. And with all that being said, you do have a lot of other choices from Blazer if this one doesn't exactly fit your needs. If you need something bigger or smaller, you can find both those options here at etrailer in a variety of different shapes and sizes. So if you've got a bigger truck and you want more visibility, the bigger lights will do just fine, or if you've got a smaller work truck that you don't need as big of a light on, that'll work too. There's also different variations if you want a white and an amber LED. or one or the other. This one is only amber. So just keep that in mind when you're checking it out. And they do make versions of these that are heated. So if you find yourself operating these a lot of times in the winter, maybe in a region that gets some snow and ice, the heating is going to help keep snow from accumulating on the light, not necessarily enough to melt a ton of snow if it's piled on top, but enough to keep it visible when you're driving through the snow. So perfect for a truck that maybe has a plow on it, but this one I think will do just fine for a mix of situations. All the different functions and patterns give you the option to just customize it to fit your needs and give you the most visibility in the situations where you need it. This has just been our look at the Blazer low-profile amber emergency LED light. Thanks for watching.
