Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at a hopper screen for your Meyer Blaster salt spreaders. That's right folks. So this screen's going to be used with your Blaster salt spreaders, item number 37000 and 39010. Those are sold separately.
And what this does is, you put it on your hopper and then as you're filling it, this is going to help break down big old chunks of your ice melt material. And it's going to go through this screen and filter out big chunks, making sure that your auger and everything down at the bottom is not getting damaged. And I do want to show you a closer view even and put a ruler up here just so you can kind of see the size of these. Now, these are a diamond tread pattern as you can see. And, let's see if I can get a better measurement there.
So, right here you can basically see, these are roughly 1/4-inch wide, and that's about the size of material that's going to filter through that screen. So, again, this is a great option for you. It is metal. Obviously with the beam with salt all the time, it could rust over time. So, it does come with a raw finish.
So I recommend maybe painting it before you use it with some spray paint or something, a nice high quality spray paint of some sort. Overall, I got 44 inches long and 20 inches wide. That's outside edge to outside edge both ways. So again, folks, a great option for you. That's going to wrap up our quick look together at this hopper screen.
