Easily add a 4-way trailer connector with this custom-fit harness. The T-connector plugs into existing wiring - no cutting needed. Powered converter protects Ford Escape circuits and ensures consistent trailer lighting for safe towing in any conditions.
The vehicle's wiring harness is often behind a trim panel or under the cargo floor. Some vehicles may require removing interior panels or lifting carpeted sections to reach it, but once accessed, the harness installs easily with quick-splice connectors.
Plugging in a trailer shouldn't mean tearing into your vehicle's wiring. This custom-fit T-connector snaps directly into your factory wiring harness, so you can get your trailer lights up and running without any cutting or splicing. Just plug it in, and you're ready to tow.
A well-lit trailer is a safe trailer. This 4-way wiring harness keeps your trailer's brake lights, turn signals, and running lights powered and in sync with your vehicle. Whether you're hauling a boat to the lake or a camper to the mountains, your lights stay bright and visible.
Some vehicles can't handle the extra electrical load of trailer lights. The built-in powered converter draws power directly from your battery, ensuring a steady, protected current to your trailer while keeping your vehicle's circuits from overloading.
Towing means exposing your wiring to dirt, rain, and road grime. This harness features fully insulated wires and a sealed converter, helping to prevent shorts and corrosion. It's built to withstand all kinds of weather and road debris so you can tow with confidence.
No extra trips to the hardware store - this kit comes with everything you need. Fuses, zip ties, and connectors are all included so you can complete the installation without hunting down extra parts.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now, this harness is specifically designed to fit your 2008 to 2012 Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, and Mercury Mariner. And on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide. Just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our Fit Guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So, this harness will let you add a four-way trailer connector, and this is gonna be very easy to connect.
On the driver's side underneath your vehicle, you'll just locate the factory trailer tow harness connector and plug this in. I believe the instructions do recommend disconnecting the negative cable from the post first, and you can find that here in this instruction sheet. You wanna make sure to follow this as you're installing this, but overall, the installation's gonna be very simple, and this harness feature is fully insulated wires. So, this is going to hold up really well against the elements it's gonna be constantly exposed to. Some cable ties to tighten up any slack that you might have in your wiring.
But overall, a very simple install. And then you're going to have a tethered cap here to cover up that plug when it's not in use. So, that'll keep it protected from moisture and debris. We do sell brackets separately that you can install on the back of your vehicle to mount this four-way flat, so it's not flapping around in the wind or dragging on the ground. But if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this harness, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
One final recommendation I wanna make is for some dielectric grease. That grease is going to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. And you put that grease not only on the four-way flap, but also on the connector for the vehicle as well. So, if you're interested in picking some of that up, I'm including our model number for that grease. You can just pop that in the search field of our website.
That will take you to the grease and you can add that to your order. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
