Setting up your backseat organizer and cargo area protector is quick and hassle-free. Start by wrapping the nylon straps of the organizer around your headrests and securing them with the buckles. Adjust the straps to ensure the organizer sits at the perfect height, and for extra stability, use the built-in tie-downs to fasten the bottom corners to the seats. Next, align the bottom two panels of the cargo area protector with the backseat organizer and secure them using the hook-and-loop fasteners. The cargo area protector includes a third panel that doesn't attach to the organizer - store this spare panel in one of the backseat organizer's pockets. It's perfect for kneeling on, covering a seat in bad weather, or handling other unexpected needs. Once everything is in place, your car will be neat, organized, and ready for any adventure!

Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the etrailer backseat organizer in combination with our etrailer cargo area protector. Now, if you've decided to go ahead with these items and put them in your vehicle, please share your experience with it below in the comments. We'd love to share your story with our other neighbors in order to help them make the best decision for themselves. Now, if you've got a situation where you're using your cargo area a lot with a lot of messy things, maybe you've got pets, you haul gardening stuff, there could be any number of things that could really do some damage to that factory carpet area in your cargo area. Backseat organizer and cargo liner are gonna be two great ways to not just keep it uncluttered, but also keep it clean. Now these are very, very simple to install and uninstall.
They're very easy to clean, and they're very easy to remove and clean, whether you wanna hose it down, hand wash it, whatever you need to do. And the installation is gonna be really, really simple. It's just gonna be attached by these latches up behind our headrests. And there is a hook and loop system that's gonna allow our cargo protector to attach to our backseat organizer. So let's go ahead and get this up, starting with the organizer, and we will attach the rest from there.
So again, attaching these around the headrest. It's a pretty simple procedure. I've got the one side done already, but all we're really gonna do is attach it around the back and pull this nice and snug. So get it in there, pull that snug, and now we are in good shape here. So this is actually draping really nicely.
It's not bunching up at the bottom. So I think the length of this is actually pretty perfect for the Ford Edge. Now let's attach our cargo liner. So the cargo liner itself actually comes in three different pieces, and they're all attached together by this hook and loop system. The main parts that we're gonna be using for this right now is gonna be the center section, but I also wanted to show with the cargo liner, it has those same attachments for the headrest right here.
So if you're in a situation where you're folding down your seats and you need a liner to go across the whole thing, you would keep all three sections together and just use these around the headrest. But since we're using it with our backseat organizer, what we're going to wanna do is basically just remove the front section. So this would be our section with those loops to go around the headrest. And once we remove that, we've got this hook and loop attachment down here, which we also find at the bottom of our cargo organizer. So we're gonna go ahead and get this up under there and attach it. And now that we have that in place and we lift this out, as you can see, we've got it still a little bit long. It's draping over the bumper. But again, this section is really gonna be mainly used for if we fold the seats down, it'll take up this slack into the vehicle. But if we're just gonna use this cargo area as is along with the organizer, we're gonna remove this section as well. Now as you can see, that's pretty much a perfect length for the back of your Ford Edge. It just comes right up to the threshold here. It's still clear of your latch, so you'll be able to open and close your lift gate without any issues. And it does offer wall-to-wall protection back here. And again, this is gonna be a really easy-to-clean surface. It is a waterproof polyester. So as far as anything getting through it onto your carpet, it would really have to be punctured in order for something like that to happen. But with that being said, you know, that's pretty self-explanatory, I guess, how all of that works. But let's take a look at what the organizer has to offer now that we've got everything assembled together. Now what we've got up here are three mesh pockets. Got an elastic strap at the top to help secure some things in. We've got some larger mesh pockets down here at the bottom, and we've got a couple of enclosed pockets with a hook and loop latch to keep everything in there nice and secure. Now, this could offer, you know, storage for a variety of things that you keep in the back of your car that have a tendency to roll around a bit. I personally keep some, you know, car cleaning stuff in the vehicle. This would be a perfect place to keep all of that in the vehicle organized without rumbling around your cargo area, all while offering that same type of protection that you expect from a cargo area protector. But you know, there's just a variety of things that you can keep back here just to keep handy for you and your family if you're out on the road. Another thing that I like to keep in here is a first aid kit. You know, just in case, sunscreen, things like that, just anything that you think you keep in the car that you might need, just spur of the moment. Excellent way to keep it all organized, excellent and versatile in that. You could also change your mat to be a full-length cargo liner when you fold the seats down. I just think this would be a great value for you and your 2022 Ford Edge. I'm Curt with etrailer. Thanks for stopping by.
“Easy way to keep your cargo area clean and your stuff from rolling everywhere”
Hello neighbor Kurt here with etrailer If you’ve got kids pets sports gear or just a busy cargo area this backseat organizer and cargo protector combo is a great way to keep things clean and under control
The install is about as easy as it gets The organizer just straps around your rear headrests and the cargo mat connects to the bottom of it with hook and loop Fast to get in fast to take out and easy to clean You can hose it off wipe it down or just shake it out
I like that the setup is flexible too The cargo cover comes in three sections so you can run it full length when the seats are folded or just use the main portion for the back area when the seats are up The mat lays flat and clears the latch area so you can still open and close the liftgate with no problem
Now the organizer itself has plenty of pockets up top and down low You’ve got mesh pouches elastic straps and even some hook and loop flaps to keep smaller items in place I personally use it for car cleaning supplies and a first aid kit but it’s great for sunscreen umbrellas snacks or whatever else tends to bounce around back there
If you’re loading messy gear like mulch pet crates or wet sports stuff the waterproof liner keeps your carpet safe It covers edge to edge across the back and protects your bumper too when you need to load in heavy stuff
Overall this is one of those simple upgrades that makes a big difference in daily use It’s easy to set up easy to remove and keeps your interior looking good especially if your cargo area sees a lot of action
If you’re not using that third cargo panel right away store it in one of the organizer pockets It’s great for kneeling on wet ground or protecting a seat in a pinch
My 4Runner is an extension of my life. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, off-roading. Kids play sports and ride horses. Like to go on road trip adventures that require some gear. The challenge is that it can get messy, as in lots of stuff piled in the back. And as in dirty when we spend a day in the woods. I have used different cargo area covers in the past. I like this one a lot. The pockets and mesh holders on the back of the seat are awesome. I can put all the stuff like cam straps, extra jackets, bike shoes, helmet in them and they stay put. Not rolling around every time I turn. The material is thick enough to protect my car, but is also foldable. So when I need it out it folds up small and I can get it out of the way. Also easy to take out and shake it or spray it off. Recently had a day of helping winch some people out of a muddy field. This cargo area protector allowed me to throw all the muddy stuff in the back and not worry about destroy my vehicle.

As you can see, I've got quite a bit of stuff in the truck on a daily basis. And, literally, I got tired of it rolling all around. So, I thought, "What could I do to make sure that I get this stuff up off the floor? Where can I keep it from sliding in and out?" You know, I get out of the truck, I go to open the door, and something falls out because things have shifted all around.
Having something like this, even on the back seat, is going to be huge. It keeps my stuff secure where it's at, and I don't have to worry about it when I get to where I'm going either. So, besides just throwing my muddy boots, and, you know, wet fishing rod—whatever I've got when I’m out fishing—I can throw that in the back of the truck.
The piece I actually love and would probably leave in here full-time is this right here. And it’s simply just to keep our dog from jumping up front. She loves to jump up front with me and my wife. But if I have this up here, it’s gonna keep her from doing that. So, I love that I can configure this in different ways, being three separate panels. But this is one that will probably stay in there full-time.
You can take this piece off, and actually—look, this is because I do have, obviously, the floor mat there—I’m not too worried about anything there. But it does attach to the bottom of the backseat organizer. And you can tell it’s still really enough to give me complete coverage up until this point.
So, let’s say the dog drools, or you have a water bowl here that I carry with us on the road—regardless, it’s gonna be protected.
looks like its what I expected, will protect from pets and grandkids!
liked the 3 additional pieces that add on with velcro
I’m actually out of the country and that was delivered to my son, but I understand all went well and on time.
