Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Hike Crew turkey fryer kit. That's right. Who doesn't love a nice crisp, golden bird I know I do. This is gonna give you a propane burner, stand and pot for frying a turkey.
So starting off with, you do gotta get some of these accessories. You're gonna get the baster included. I'm gonna put that to the side. You are also gonna get the included thermometer, which has the lasp here to go inside and hook on the edge. That way you can safely see the temperature as you're cooking.
I'll set that to the side. And as you can see, you also have a little upside down coat hanger looking thing, and that's gonna be what you use to grab and pull up either the turkey itself or potentially the whole inside with the perforated holes to let the grease drain. Now as you can see on this side, you have a little hanger support system. So once you get the turkey out of the grease, you would set it there to let it drain a lot of that grease off and everything. I'm gonna set all this to the side.
So everything here is nice coated aluminum and it is also welded steel on the base. So you have aluminum for the pot and everything, the interior basket and then the main pan tub here. I'm gonna go ahead and put everything back inside. (metal clanking) So now you can see the burner. It's a nice steel construction.
You have your standard regulator here for propane, and then you have the burner and everything here. And then you also have a hole in there at the bottom. If you've never used a fryer, they have this little spring kind of gizmo here. And what that is is you'll put a match in there if you have to light it manually to get the flame started without hurting yourself. So most people use a igniter with like a long nozzle on it of some sort. That's what I recommend, just to keep your hands and everything safe away from the open flame when you're starting it. But everything in here, nice sturdy design. You have a seven and a half gallon or 30 quart boiling pot. That's how big it can handle and how big it is. All the handles here have a nice silicon coating on 'em just to give you some more grip and stuff. But I still recommend, always use some kind of heat treated, like a pot holder of some sort if you're ever moving this once it gets up to temp. You're also gonna get this nice storage cover. It has draw strings on the ends and this is made big enough. It's going to cover pretty much everything here, including the base. And you just gotta kind of work it around. Obviously, your propane hose may slightly get in the way as far as it going all the way down, but that's gonna be great for keeping dust off, any kind of buildup from weather or anything like that if for some reason you're keeping it outside. I recommend keeping it indoors as much as possible when you're not using it and just use this to keep dust and debris and that kind of stuff off of there. So some quick measurements. I know I showed you the size of that pot. Let me go and set this on the ground here for us. The height of this seven and a half gallon pot is about 15 and 9/16 inches tall overall. And the top lip here measures 11 and 13/16's in diameter. And then once again, you got your lid that goes right on top. It's beveled, so it sits nice and flush inside of the pot. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. This again is our Hike Crew turkey fryer kit, seven and a half gallon boiler pot. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
