These rear tie-downs bolt directly to your truck’s frame using pre-existing holes, so setup is simple and secure with little to no drilling required. Because they mount tight to the frame, ground clearance loss is minimal and you don’t have to cut or modify anything. Once in place, the system gives you solid mounting points that make connecting your camper quick and straightforward.
The TorkLift Talon uses rustproof, lightweight aluminum arms with stainless steel receiver brackets for heavy-duty strength in a compact form. Both parts are protected by a high-impact powder coat that resists wear and corrosion, even through long trips or rough weather. You get a tie-down that’s strong enough for big campers but easy to handle during installation.
By tying into the truck’s frame instead of the bed or bumper, these mounts spread the camper’s weight evenly and keep the center of gravity low. That means less sway, no shifting, and handling that feels natural even on long highway stretches or uneven roads. Your camper stays steady and your ride feels smoother and safer.
When the trip’s over, the tie-down arms slide off easily so your truck keeps its clean look. With the arms removed, the brackets sit nearly flush beneath the body and are barely noticeable. It’s a practical setup that works hard on the road but stays out of sight when you’re not hauling.

Each arm has two pin holes so you can extend it for clearance around fenders or choose the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately). This flexibility helps you get a tight, balanced hold on your camper from multiple anchor points—keeping everything locked down for confident travel.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at these TorkLift Talon custom frame-mounted, aluminum rear camper tie-downs. Now these tie-downs are going to provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing you a bed-mounted camper. And these are custom fit tie-downs that are designed to fit different years and versions of the GMC Sierra and the Chevrolet Silverado. To confirm if these will fit on either your Sierra or your Silverado, please take advantage of our vehicle fit guide on our website. Input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for your vehicle. The frame-mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base, instead of its bed, better distributes the weight to keep your setup from being too top-heavy.
The brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame, so there will be no loss of ground clearance and these rustproof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie-down inserts are going to secure to the durable aluminum receiver brackets. Now the inserts can be easily removed, and let me just show you how easy that is. Included with this are these bail pins and you can just easily release them, as you can see, the inserts come right out and they're lightweight, obviously, because they are aluminum. Then you can just remove these and throw these under your seat in the back of your truck, or under your seat for easy storage. And as you can see, when you have the inserts out, these brackets are going to be virtually undetectable and they also include these handy caps that you can put over the brackets.
It's a tight fit, as you can see. It takes a little bit of doing, but once you have that cap on, it is going to give the bracket a nice finished look and it's also gonna keep that bracket clean on the inside. So you're not gonna have to worry about dust or dirt or debris getting in there. So gives it a nice look when you don't have those inserts in, and these inserts have two different holes on them, as you can see here. And so if your camper is a little bit wider, you would use this first hole and secure it with that first hole.
And if your camper is a little bit narrower, you can move it to this second hole here. And that is going to allow flexibility, depending on the size of your camper. So I'm just gonna line up those holes again and insert my bail pin to secure, and it's a very easy operation. Now the brackets here feature this high-impact powder coat finish that is going to add a extra layer of protection to the brackets. And again, being that the brackets and the inserts are aluminum, they are rust proof and you're going to get two rear tie-down inserts with the frame brackets and all of the necessary hardware for the complete installation that you see in front of me, along with the instructions to give you step-by-step instructions on how to install these correctly.
And these are made in the USA, and they do have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Tie downs are still installed on my 2022 GMC and are working well in holding my camper in place.
