These custom-fit tie-downs bolt directly to your truck’s frame to give your camper a solid, stable connection for long-distance travel. Because the frame is the strongest part of your vehicle, the load stays low and evenly distributed, reducing sway and keeping handling predictable even when you’re hauling heavy. This design helps prevent the top-heavy feeling that can happen with bed or bumper mounts so your camper stays steady mile after mile.
Each bracket lines up with pre-existing holes in the frame so installation takes little to no drilling and no modifications. The brackets mount tight to the frame for minimal loss of ground clearance, meaning less chance of scraping on rough roads or driveways. The setup includes front and rear tie-downs plus hardware, giving you everything needed for a clean, straightforward install.
Made from steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built for years of rough use and weather exposure. The finish adds another layer of protection against chips and rust so they keep looking good and performing strong through dirt, salt, and rain.
When you’re not hauling a camper, remove the arms and the brackets barely show beneath your truck. The low-profile design keeps your vehicle looking stock while still being ready for the next trip. With two anchor holes on each arm, you can also fine-tune how far they extend to clear fenders or sidewalls and get the best angle for your turnbuckles.

Once installed, securing your camper is quick. Each arm has two pin holes so you can set the right reach for your turnbuckles (sold separately). Two holes in each attachment plate let you offset anchors for better hold from multiple angles, keeping your camper locked in tight without stressing any single point.

Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this TorkLift custom rear camper tie down set. These tie downs are going to provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed so that you can secure your truck campers turn buckles. You'll also need the front tie downs so that you can have a tie down at each corner. Those front tie downs are sold separately, and you'll also need the turn buckles if you don't already have those to attach your camper to the tie down points here. These are a custom-fit, they are going to work with your 2005 through 2014 Toyota Tacoma as well as your 2015 Toyota Tacoma with the four-wheel drive, six-foot bed, and double cab.
Keep in mind with all those fits, it is going to require that you have a factory hitch installed as well as no board or step underneath your truck bed that could cause clearance issues for these. These are gonna be frame-mounted brackets so that's going to make the installation very simple. Because these are custom-fit, it's gonna use pre-existing holes in your frame so there's very little, if any drilling required. They do include instructions to walk you through that installation process as well as the hardware that you're gonna need to get these mounted in place. But because these brackets are mounted onto the frame, it's gonna create a nice, tight fit.
And so you're not gonna lose much of any ground clearance at all. It's also going to ensure excellent stability and handling. By securing to your truck's base instead of up on its bed, it's going to help better distribute the weight, keep it from being too top heavy. So it's going to make sure that you're getting a lot of stability as you're going down the road. These brackets, another wonderful thing about these is that when you're not using them, you can remove these arms and they become virtually invisible.
So unlike some other brackets that take away from the look of your truck when you're not using your camper, these are going to, basically, disappear underneath the truck body. They do have these two holes here that will allow you to adjust for the width of your camper. So very simple to get installed. You just line up the hole there with the bracket and then you can pass the included pin through to secure it in place. So if you've got a wider camper, you can use that wider hole there.
Or if you've got a slimmer camper, you can use that inner hole and that's going to create a little bit tighter fit for you. So couple different options there. But these are made of a durable steel construction, so they are gonna hold up very well for you. And they also have a powder-coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. They're made here in the USA so you can trust they're gonna be good quality for you and they come with a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues with them, you're more than more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But again, like I said, I really like this design. I like the way TorkLift has set these up so that you've got that frame-mounted quality, so you're getting that good ride support. But then you also have that ability to take those out and it's not going to take away from the look of your truck when you don't have your camper in there. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
