These tie-downs bolt directly to the frame for the most solid, stable connection possible. By anchoring at the strongest part of the truck, the camper’s weight is spread evenly and the center of gravity stays low. That means no sway, no shifting, and the same confident handling you’d have without a camper onboard. The setup keeps everything planted, even through crosswinds or rough roads, so long-distance hauls feel steady and predictable.
These custom-fit tie-downs attach to pre-existing holes in the frame, so installation takes little to no drilling and no cutting or modifications. The brackets mount tight against the frame for minimal loss of ground clearance and a clean, tucked-up finish. It’s a bolt-on job that keeps your truck’s structure intact while giving you a perfect fit for your setup.
When you’re not hauling, pull the arms off and the brackets are nearly invisible under the truck. The design keeps things looking clean without bulky hardware hanging down. You get all the strength and utility when you need it and nothing in sight when you don’t.

Made of steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built for years of use on the road. The durable coating adds an extra layer of protection against moisture, debris, and wear from long miles or changing seasons. It’s strong gear that holds up just as well as it looks.
Each arm includes two pin holes so you can extend them just enough to clear sidewalls or fenders and line up your turnbuckles (sold separately). The attachment plate also has two anchor holes to find the best angle for your camper’s tie-down points. This flexibility helps keep your camper locked in from multiple directions for a secure fit every time.

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from etrailer, and I'm with Dan. And Dan recently had his new truck in. He got airbags installed. And you also have an in-bed camper, probably why you have the airbags. Yes.
And so you've towed with an in-bed camper before with a previous truck, correct Yep. I have a 1996 GMC diesel. And I've carried this all over the place, up through the Smoky Mountains, and had a really good time with it. Had a blast. I got a 2000 model Lance Camper, and it's put on a 2025 Chevy 3,500.
I needed to upgrade from a 2,500 to a 3,500. So this thing will carry around. So on your previous Dually that you had, you didn't have the TorkLift tie downs I did not. I had them mounted onto the bumper to tie down to, and also at the beginning of the bed. Now with this, it's all custom fit.
And you went with the aluminum versions, right Yes, I went with the aluminum, because the aluminum, they're pretty sturdy, and I didn't want the metal to rust if I ever take this thing out in the snow and salt and everything. Are there advantages to the TorkLift over kind of the old style that you had it hooked up When I take the TorkLifts out, I can put 'em away and you won't even see that they're attached to the truck. I like to tuck things farther away so I don't bang my leg. Yeah, and you can kind of go back, you can pull those out, and it goes back to that OEM clean look. You have no idea they're even there until you're ready to hook up.
Right. So anything that you would recommend for anyone that has an in bed camper Any, you know, tips, tricks, for in-bed camper driving that you have, you know, over your years I got the tie downs here. I did install these, put 'em in there. And I extended the rods by using all thread rods. Make sure you get the good all thread rods, 'cause some of 'em we inchesre kinda loose when you put 'em in there. And then, yeah. I mean, they are really, really handy. My '96, when I'm driving down the road, it would sway back and forth. And with the Silverado 3,500, I got the airbags in there and the wiring all set up. And it just doesn't move or nothing. It just runs right on down the road. And with the diesel 10 speed transmission, shoot, I just, it just goes. Brad Yeah. Dan It's like it's not even back there. Yeah, and with tying these down, you know, a lot of times people wonder how does it stay in place. And especially, you know, if you're going to kind of mountainous areas or whatever and you're getting ups and downs or hitting bumps, it does have that potential to move. But that's why you have turn buckles. You crank those down, it's gonna keep it all in place. But the big thing is, you know, having a good attachment point. So did you ever have clearance issues with your other one when you hooked it up As far as where the turn buckle's attached, did you have any issues making contact The only issue I would have is if I hooked it on here wrong. Like if I came from the other direction, or this way, I'd have to try to swing it over. Better to unhook the bottom before you unhook the top. Yeah. If you haven't looked at the TorkLift mounting points, these are great. They are custom fit to your vehicle. So it's crucial that you use our fit guide to get the proper trim and model of your truck. Because they're, you know, these aren't gonna work on a Ford. You'd have to get the Ford-specific. But that's what makes these great. They're perfectly set up, you know, as he was saying is once they're out, it goes back to a clean OEM look. They sit proper, they're designed for this, and TorkLift really covers all of the connecting parts to be able to get your in-bed camper to work with your truck. So Dan, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Great talking to you. You're welcome. Excited to get the brush guard on here and get you out on the road and enjoying it. I need to do some camping. (laughs) That's right, yeah. Hey, summer's coming. Have a good time. Thank you. Thank you very much, appreciate it.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

Installed the Tie Downs while in my driveway. Used three quality drill bits, but the installation was fairly easy and they work great!
