Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Erickson flat bungee. This bungee cord tie down secures lightweight items on your cargo carrier, roof rack, or in your truck bed or trailer. It does have that nice flat design to it, which keeps the cord from rolling when it's placed over an edge. It provides a more secure hold compared to standard bungees and it's a very stretchable construction. So I'm going to put my thumbs right here on the outside of the etrailer sticker there and I'll stretch it ow moving my thumbs and you can see just how stretchable this cord is. It's a really nice durable design.
The polycarbonate S hooks are reinforced with hardened metal wires for added strength. So the unstretched length is about 36 inches long. Cord with is 5/8 of an inch and the hook opening is one inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Erickson flat bungee.

Received the 2 inch hitch in good order, and quickly. Parts were intact and all accounted for; instructions in English and several other languages, were concise and fairly clear. My installation was on a Honda CRV (2015).
Several caveats: as some others have noted, the cut out you make on the plastic panel under your car that will allow you to bolt the unit properly to the frame, should be cut a little wider by 1/2 inch, or so. The dimensions given in the instructions for the cutout fail to indicate exactly where to start measuring from.
I had help installing it; it's heavy and awkward lying on your back, and another strong pair of arms and nimble hands is an enormous help.
The Erickson Bungees are the only ones I could find that have the hooks and flat ends in line with the flat elastic. An important aspect for use on my kayak.
I ordered, got a quick response that the 12 inch was back ordered. I chose to leave the order in place. Got a couple of updates on the status. etrailer let me know when they expected to receive the product. It took a little longer than planned, but I was not charged until they had the product ready to ship.
The bungees are, well bungees with flat ends that work as planned.
